When you’re in large games and trying to chat with a friend other peoples chats can get in the way. A toggle for ‘Friends’ chat will only show your friends chats, or maybe grey out the other chats a bit so that your friends chats contrast more.

Or generic chat channels would be great, for example filtering for team chat or only showing whispers between you and another person, apart from just friends-only chat.

Chat channels would be awesome, but they would probably be quite a revamp from the current system. Plus, if chat channels were made, developers would obviously need to get access to the API somehow - This would probably be pretty easy with :SetCore and :GetCore, which is nice.
