Functionality to hide all GUI elements

It would be helpful to have a way to hide all GUI elements, including the core GUI, on the local client. This would make it easier to screenshot or record a clean game scene. It could be a key bind or a button on the menu (which would have to be accessed with the escape key afterwards), or both.

I agree, we are missing a way to make a nice Screenshot or video. Still I think that A screenshot of the game including the main HUD is quite essential (In some games) for the gameplay.

Perhaps only hide the CoreGui + A event for when a User wants to make a Screenshot, and the developer can determine wich elements he/she wants to hide ?

If one of the f keys (like f3) hid all coreguis and playerguis that would be awesome for screenies, like a 1280x720 screenshot for your desktop. Right now we have a few coreguis in the way haha

There’s the issue of the developer intentionally putting a gui over the screen (snipers, telescopes, binoculars, obscuring ink/ paint blobs) so maybe add a “CanBeHidden” bool value to every gui object.

Also creating an immersive gameplay experience is very difficult without being able to crush out all of the core UI.

Youtube and Chrome’s fullscreen mode pops up saying “You entered fullscreen. Press F11 or Esc to exit”

This can be done for a “Screenshot mode” for roblox too. Nobody’s gonna get trapped in screenshot mode lol…

Then how do players not get lost exiting the game when it’s first-person only? I’ve never heard of a ROBLOX player saying “OMG I didn’t know how to exit that FPS game I just played and it took my hours to get out of it!”

Alt+f4 is known about, though.

That’s still a way to close the game, and I find it highly unlikely that someone knows about Alt+F4 but not the universal menu key. As it stands, the primary reason the hamburger exists is not to help players exit the game because it can’t be used to exit all games.

I just rememeber whenever we were telling them not to have the menu in the first place the main argument was that players couldn’t figure out how to exit games.
