The lighting is defiantly the next step in roblox graphics its so not roblox anymore but it is which is just a amazing feeling
Before
After
I work at small scale (about 1:10) and I love that now range works better at values <10
this still bothers me a lot, light glowing threw walls like this… will this be fixed? its the same with future enabled, and i don’t see where future is effecting shadows, unless i need to turn up my studio graphics more.
i cant get any results with shadows turned on in my lights, no light emits until i turn off shadow inside the light, am i doing something wrong?
If the lights are SpotLights, this is a current issue unless you make the part with the SpotLight transparent.
That’s been a bug for years now, I can remember that since 2013.
It’s annoying as hecc and Roblox still hasn’t dealt with it, wish they would
To resolve the issue for now, make the ceiling thicker.
I’d say in my own opinion, that’s a good way to resolve the issue for now. However, you may need extra support beams for all that weight. Who knows what could happen?
This (amazing) update was working for me just the other day but recently has been causing studio to crash when enabled, I am running it with VULKAN and max edit mode graphics (21).
did you use water as flooring? thats really cool
I’ve been having an issue, if intentional or not, where spot lights with shadows enabled don’t emit light. That might be the issue you are having, but I’m not a professional obviously so It’s just a guess.
Is that actually rendered in Roblox. It doesn’t even look like it’s from Roblox at all.
It’s amazing, definitely meets my expectations! Great work guys.
This is related to my previous post, regarding an option to turn off Specular highlights.
Perhaps we could have also have an option to make the spread of the Specular highlighting lower / higher? The small size of the specular highlight, coupled with the insane intensity on metal materials doesn’t look very good.
This is a bit ridiculous.
Personally, I’d like to see something closer to Blender’s Eevee Specular shader, where you can control every aspect of it.
I did indeed! Copying the environment and flipping it underneath did some weird stuff to the lighting, so i used water since its the only thing that currently reflects objects to an extent.
When I first saw this I had high expectations and now I have to give the roblox team a round of applauds for this needed update, I am really happy to see this feature finally coming to Roblox Studio!
This update looks remarkable! I’m just in awe at how good Roblox can look now. With the right settings, it can almost look like an entirely different engine! I mean, just look at this!
I love, love, love, love, love, love, LOVE this update to bits! Roblox has never looked this beautiful. My game’s defnitely gonna be using this the moment it’s on for clients!
