300, isn’t a great investment. Normally prices range from $500-2,000 in development wise, in my experience. None the less. With that money, I’d make an kingdom game
If you directly pay people via PayPal, your money will go a lot further. 300$ in Robux is around 32000 Robux, as @G9nx said. This is only about 90 USD if they were able to devex it. 300$ through PayPal is 300$ period. You might be able to get graphics, a few builds and if you’re super lucky, maybe a scripter.
You probably should get a little more money for your game if you can, however, if I were to make a game with just that, I would do everything and spend that all on ads.
However, the game would not be that good since I don’t know how to script.
If it was PayPal, I’d argue with that. I’ve completed full games for $100. It is tricky though.
100$ split among 3+ different jobs leaves very little for each person. Personally I would not work on a game for that small of an amount. Realistically he might be able to get 3 well-versed people with 300$.

Because making a game on your own, you don’t know about it you’ll make money. But if you do commissions, it’ll make money.
I’m not sure why you need a 300$ budget? If your a “jack of all trades” that you can make a game all by yourself and then get the game popular through one of the four submitable sorts.
We might spend up to 600$. If that is better.
You dont need a budget at all… unless you cant do a certain part of game development (such as scripting or building).
I dont have any budgets on my games and yet they are still somewhat popular and well made.
I’d say if you’re starting a game, understand the skills you need and the skills you have. The only reason I see a game having a budget is for advertising/ collaboration. Aim to minimize hired skill if it isn’t needed for your game.
As for the game idea, budget should be completely irrelevant here. And small opinion, don’t put $300 into a ‘game’; have a vision and game idea first. It’s good to recognize available resources at the start, but that shouldn’t limit your creative freedom.
Onto ideas, look at classic gameplay patterns and styles. Start brainstorming on an objective, directed audience, type of world/ setting, etc. From there, you can evaluate how the budget can be used, and the level of work you want to put into builds and other features.
Don’t go around spending money just because you want to spend money. Use it only if you absolutely need to. $300 is more than enough for a Roblox game. I spent like $20 on my first game and turned it into $10,000, and I have a larger platform to release future games that will make a lot more. Be cautious about spending your money. Just because you have a few hundred dollars to throw around doesn’t mean you need to use it.
Make simulator gam, and make x1000 speed jump coin exp game-pass add, you will earn minimum 1 m robux …
If you’re looking to profit, go for a simulator. Go for something thats relatable.
300$ is considered a decent budget for a solo person. You could start with 200$ and use the 100$ as backup.
Make whatever game you want whatever genre interests you most but one that will succeed.
i wouldn’t spend 300$ in a roblox game as the odds of getting them back is very low, i would make a drop shipping ecommerce.
I would say a good start is to ask yourself “What game could I make where I wouldn’t have to spend a single dollar?”

300$ is a great investment for a smaller game like a simulator, cafe, etc. and not like a whole SCP, Star Wars, etc. game. I think you too gotta have some assets like being able to build your style and not leave it up to a team or 1 or 2. You just gotta find the right people and right skill for a good cost
300$ would go a long ways for me, I wish I had that type of money, since I do everything myself.
And I WISHED I even had 20$ to spend on a game.
I don’t really have the funds for a specific game, I make games all by myself.
Although the time it takes to make an decent game would take about almost 1 year doing it solo.
But I can say that I am all-around good in Modeling and decent in UI-designing now. So I wouldn’t really have to rely on other people for work, maybe music though. Programming I taught myself.
