I really want to make a star wars themed game but I am just struggling to come up with ideas for one. If I make one it won’t be a simulator or RPG. If anyone has literally any ideas I would love to hear them.
You could maybe make a group, and then make a empire, and then rebels group then put them as enemy’s. You could have two different group holders. After you do that you could make a war place where there will be wars/fights there. For group members to rank up they have to go through training’s, with hire ups. While you are the holder of one of the groups you have chosen. That’s all I have got. Good luck.
Perhaps BattleFront on Roblox? Both ground and air battles could be possible. Can look at how Arsenal is similar to CS:GO, you can do something similar by mimicking Battlefront.
Cheers
Hey, I’m just pretty curious myself: Are there any legal requirements when making a game based off a popular franchise like star wars copyright wise?
For your question, maybe a bounty hunting game could work?
I’m interessed in creating that type of game too, wanna team up?
I think other games have the RP niche down already.
Perhaps you could focus on the classic battle scenes from the movies like the major video games do?
Or you could do something completely different and make a star wars themed board game or something way out there, like a spin off about ewoks that nobody has ever thought of before.
Maybe because the pokemon game got taken down because of copyright issues.
you could make it so people could make things like empires out of real ROBLOX groups, then a leaderboard to show the top group with most kills/money or other attributes.
That all depends on the company, because I have a friend that owns a Best Buy group with around 8,000 members and nothing has happened.
Link: Best Buy® | Store - Roblox
Also my other friend has another group that should become big.
Yes true, but if a user thinks of doing something like a star wars game they should look at the star wars copyright thing. (Idk what it’s called)
To be on the safe side. The developer can make everything different, examples: Star Battles, the fight for Earth (fair use name) - Stormtroopers = StarTroopers. Calling something a rebellion and an empire qualifies under fair use. As long as nothing is exactly the same, the developer should be good.
Unlike some companies, Disney and EA are very strict when it comes to copyright infringement.
What if you made some sort of obby or parkour game based off of star wars. Say like a life support fail that and the ship starts falling apart, so you have to save the ship.
Well there are heaps of Star Wars groups already and none of them have been taken down. One in particular says in the description “We do not own any rights to Star Wars, this game is for recreational use only”. Does this give them any more freedom at all?
Unless they have the proper paperwork from the copyright owner stating that they have the right to use the content, Disney and or EA and or whoever owns it, can at anytime choose to strike down the content enforcing DMCA. Upon notice Roblox will be forced to comply and strike down the content.
I figured that would be the case. On one hand, you’re more likely to get more players from a star wars game, but on the other it could get taken down. There are some pretty big star wars groups on this platform already, such as the Jedi Order by Askavix. Do you think OP should stay on the safer side?
I think you should make something similar to an old, but very good game called Star wars: knights of the old republic, It’s a pretty cool game that would be good for star wars.
Could you send me the game link because I can’t seem to find it.
Look up Star Wars: KOTOR on the internet. It was made in 2003 if I’m correct.
I always think it’s best to stay on the safer side. Plus, it shows originality in a sense.
I am also interested in this. Would you like to work together?
