So around 2 weeks ago (February 4th to be exact), my game got placed under review due to copyright issues. We have been working on resolving this and have changed the game enough so its no longer infringing.
The problem im having right now is publishing the changes made on it. Since its under review, you cant save the changes and will get an error doing so. im pretty much having the same problem like in this post
I tried contacting roblox support about it and they told me that they are not able to restore it without the copyright owner’s permission, so i contacted the copyright owner and havent gotten a response for like 7 days!
Do any of yall feel like im being impacient or is it normal for it to take so long?? or am i doing it wrong??
Anywho, I’d appreciate any feedback about this issue and ideas for what to do!
(If you are wondering on how the game was, it was pretty much a Piggy/Granny type game with Hello kitty characters, so yeahh… pretty obvious on why it got taken down )
I’d recommend to just wait or create a new game. If you’ve changed the scripts so there is nothing wrong, and still have access to them, you can use those in a new game or create a totally new idea.
A week in legal terms is a very short time. At least they let you know to contact the copyright holder.
But think of it this way. The copyright holder has had you successfully taken down, probably with 1 or 2 emails. You probably aren’t too high on their list of legal issues right now so I wouldn’t expect a quick reply.
You may want to take the updated copy saved to your computer and publish it as a new place…
Well, theres really not much that you can do, as you said, no wonder it got DMCA’d since the game was similar to other games. Wait or just continue on another project…
