I’m guessing the is unintented behavior as there could be lots of confusion between developer products and gamepasses – and transparency when making purchases is important, especially when it comes to products (impermanent) vs gamepasses (permanent).
This occurs both in Studio and in-game. I don’t usually pay much attention to the text that displays here so I don’t know when it started.
I’ve noticed this quite a few times for the past few months at the least. I’m not sure if it’s plausible to deem this behavior as unintended right now as I haven’t seen any comments being made about it. I do believe if this WAS an intentional change that it should be reverted back as this causes confusion to veteran players who can’t tell if they are making a one-time purchase.
This is not a bug. It just leads users to confusion. I have realized that this happens many months ago. If you read the text in a Developer Product Purchase GUI, you’ll see it’s written in a different way than when you buy a gamepass. So, you can understand the difference.
However, I agree with your suggestion and I think it’d be better if they were mentioning there a “Gamepass” and not a “Product”.
I can’t show you the exact difference in the way it’s written because I’m too lazy to take screenshots, lol.
And that is the reason why I never trusted to buy gamepasses ingame. But but for real, in all my years of roblox (2014 look at my old account) this has happened in around 2019 maybe 18. But I agree what @DMCPEPlays says that it is not a bug
