My game was unfairly banned, and Roblox Support hasn’t responded to my ticket for over a week.
Details:
According to the moderation note, my game was shut down due to spam. It seems like Roblox’s automated moderation mistakenly flagged it as part of a mass spam game upload. However, I am the legitimate owner of the game, and the actual spam came from others copying my game’s title, image, and description. These copies only contain a baseplate when you join.
As a result, both I and my colleague have been punished, and our community can no longer access the game. My developers are frustrated, the community is upset, and ironically, the copied games are still active.
What else can I do to get my game restored? Should I try contacting Roblox Support again, even though they advise against it? Are there any alternative ways to reach out to the Roblox team?
If you’ve experienced a similar issue, reply to this post with your banned game. Let’s see how many games have been unfairly taken down. If this topic gets bigger, maybe we can reach someone who can fix it.
Don’t as they would take longer to respond or would probably close your tickets. My guess is if you spam email them you can also get moderated for it because the same rules apply but im not sure
Good luck on your appeal process and also you won’t meet roblox moderators here that can fix your moderation action as this has been tried many times before including the “Moderation needs to be addressed” topic
Hi, I saw your game appears to be back up. The same thing that happened with your game just happened to mine. I haven’t gotten any moderation messages, but one of my developers got a warning with the exact same message you mentioned in your post. Anything you can share would be super helpful!
It took Roblox 9 days to review the ticket, and once they did, they unbanned the game immediately. During the ban period, I requested compensation for lost sales and asked if they could boost the game in the algorithm to help rebuild the community, but they declined to offer any further support related to losses caused by their automated moderation.
The follow up conversation took another 7 days after their initial reply. No matter how much I tried to explain the impact of the ban, both in terms of revenue and community engagement, they ultimately didn’t acknowledge the losses.
At least the game is now back online, but I’m still disappointed in how Roblox handled the situation overall.
I’ve just had this exact issue happen today. Had a youtube video blow up and get one of my games to consistently 60+ active players for a couple days, then BAM, they just ban it out of nowhere due to ‘Spam and clickbait’… Tons of lost potential players and revenue.
Great to hear that they may take 9 days to reply and will not compensate me. Thanks Roblox, great way to support your creators!
