As a Roblox Developer, there is currently no way to mark an experience as educational outside of the Learn and Explore sort.
This makes it harder to share smaller educational experiences with students and educators on Roblox.
If there is a genre for educational experiences outside of the Learn and Explore sort, the Roblox algorithm can promote smaller and lesser-known experiences that Roblox Education still approves.
This genre would also allow Roblox to support future updates for education (such as Classroom Mode) that only will work for approved educational experiences in the Classroom Collection.
Proposal:
- Roblox creates a system for submitting educational experiences, similar to the Learn and Explore sort form.
- If a submitted experience is approved, it will be added to a genre for educational experiences.
- This grouping of educational experiences can be featured in the Classroom Collection, or shown to Verified Educators.
Additionally, this genre could promote more educational experiences in “Recommended Experiences”
on the page of an educational experience, while further categorizing an experience as educational:
