And what is the problem with that, theoretically a group can dominate multiple genres even without a group rename.
My problem is with illegitimate/bot accounts in a group and for that owner to easily rename just makes them selling the group easier.
You can’t change the group name until 90 days after a owner transfer which would likely be long enough for support to lock the group.

oh yeah i agree the group is handle many people but if you change 1 people username it cost 1k robux
Another issue with group renaming is also Roblox accepts nonstandard text for renaming. Like the Russian keyboard has:
Т, М, с, В, р, х, о
That look identical to normal letters; there are also other letters that Roblox accepts for renaming. You can just rename an existing group and then utterly dominate competition unfairly.

I don’t get why you see outreaching or rebranding as a bad thing. The point of being able to rename a group is so that this can be possible.
If this is your concern, price shouldn’t matter. Development groups that are capable of “dominating a genre” already have the means, and funding, to do so.

Another group feature request which frankly should’ve been added a long time ago and is desperately needed is the option to set payout %'s on a per game basis instead of a per group basis.
Currently each time you get someone new involved in a project you have to make an entire new group because otherwise you’d be paying a % of other (linked to the group) games’ earnings as well. It is incredibly frustrating to have to constantly make new groups for each and every project just because you can’t set a payout % on a per-game basis.
It is just outrageous that we have to grow an entire new group/community every, single, project for the sake of being able to distribute payouts fairly. I want to grow one large community. Not 50 small ones.
Sorry if I sound a little agitated, it’s been bothering me for a while.

This seems a little low. What happens if I want to revert my group name change, but somebody takes the name just before I can do it? There’s a very short window for me to be able to revert.
They should do it like the usernames where only that person can use the original name/s

This update is excellent and wise! There’s a chance for people to change their names if they misspelled or actually would like a new name.

Why are we not allowed to change the capitalization of a group name we already own like we can with usernames? I’ve excitedly waited over a year for this feature to be released only to find out I can’t change the letter P in my group’s name to a lowercase P.

This is a long overdue feature, one thing I’m a bit concerned about though, say you have a big group then you change the name, after this 90 days are other people able to use that name? If so something i thought of is people trying to impersonate bigger groups and using it in bad ways.
Like say they took the name and the logo etc.
Idk, just a thought I had.

I was made owner of a server and I own all the groups. One of our groups needs a name change. I was made group owner about 2 months ago yet despite the update coming out today, I am unable to change the name because it is “under 90 days.”
I wouldn’t normally care but I worried that our group change will be namesniped and we’ll have to do some weird workaround name. Am I just a bad case of unfortunate timing or is this an overlooked exception regarding the ownership detection code?
Finally, I can change my group name to something a lot better.
