GURVB's progress in 2025, in a nutshell

Hello, to whoever is reading this!
I made this post to summarise everything i’ve worked on (and will work on) to turn it into a post at the end of the year, and add it in my future portfolio. Anyway, with that out of the way, here’s my summary:

January

So, 2025 has officially started. I really wanted to come back to developing, so I started using this forum more and started doing some projects, such as making an admin panel that I could use for my future projects. I also wanted to make a group with @KevinImanoo, but that failed. I made a few other .rbxl files to try to improve my scripting. I have a plan, and i’m more than ready to execute it. I mean, we still have 11 months left of the year to go out and do something, so why not? I wanted to also get better at building and learn animating. It will be a wild ride.
On the 24th of January, to refine my scripting skills, I made a little 7-segment display thing that displays the time. That next day, I found a DevForum topic about capxpq (don’t want to ping them) wanting to make a working computer. That obviously interested me, so I starting talking over on Discоrd with them, and we made some pretty good progress. As of this time, we have barely just finished making the kernel, though.

Feedback on my UI settings thingy

So I decided to make a little UI settings panel thing that I could use for my future projects; I wanted to make something that’s kind of minimalistic while also looking sleek. I sort of imagined what it could look like, and so I went ahead and did it. It was a little worse than what I imagined, but I think it still looks quite sleek! Hello everyone! I’ve been working on a completely working computer with @gurvb for a week or something and here is the progress we made at this point. The computer currently supports a kind of MS-DOS OS, a custom math library with trigonometric and analytic functions, some CMD commands including basic arithmetics, assembly language, a small graphics library for drawing geometric shapes and 3D letters rendering. Not that much that’s notable, but I kept working with @capxpq to make a working computer. We have made some pretty huge progress, such as starting to make the UI, a graphics rendering engine, and the file system. Around the 10th of february, we also started slowing down progress because of stuff like school. I also got a little bit bored and wanted to do something else to improve my scripting; I didn’t really know exactly if i knew enough, or needed to learn more, as well as maybe considering to think about practicing building, but I think that’ll come in March.

Alright! So I’ve spent 2 months doing… only 1 project! Hey, we at least still have 10 months left to do something, which is is still plenty of time. Maybe I could do some building
