Hard shadows + all lighting broken in studio (edit)

I don’t know if this was an intended change or not, but as of fairly recently there are no longer any hard shadows in roblox studio, regardless of the lighting mode you use.

(excuse my crusty comparison screenshots, I had to rummage some of my docs for examples)

I noticed this at first in roblox’s own Modern City test place, but its the same across all of my experiences.
Technology wise, the lighting is the same (Future, same light settings)

The large “cascade shadow map” shadows are now completely missing.
In fact all the future lighting seems missing if you check the last screenshot there.

Expected behavior

There should be shadows and hard lighting.
It looks like its rendering voxel only lighting?

Update:
Ingame is still correct, this is just broken in studio

Found the culprit.

Studio had somehow set itself to openGL as the rendering mode.
Turning it back to dx11 fixed it all.
