i need help.
i’ve made a rig, named everything correctly(i’m pretty sure) and whenever i try to animate it, the part i’m trying to rotate just teleports away and i can’t undo it. also, despite having welds and joints, the feet don’t move whenever i move, say, the RightUpperLeg.
I’m stumped, the primary part is the HumanoidRootPart and everything seems right but i don’t know .
help is needed and appreciated

Yeah, its late for me right now, but tommorrow i’ll add a screenshot
for some reason i cannot add a screenshot, i can tell you the names of everything and stuff, it just won’t load my screenshot
nvm i was able to get this. this is what happens whenever i try to animate it
and this happens despite the weld constraints and joints i have
also, how should the joints be named? “Right Shoulder” or “RightShoulder” and do welds need to be named specifically?
i dont think your supposed to weld constraints to the object like that?? im kinda confused on what you did
im assuming you welded and added joints to the body, through the model tab

i dont think it could work like that, nor could be animate-able
plus theres a easier way to do this with a plugin
RigEdit Lite
assuming your rigging a animal

you could rename the parts for organization, but you dont have to (they cant have the same name btw)
set your primary part to the humanoid root part
after doing that, open RigEdit Lite
(after opening rigedit)
then select the HumanoidRootPart FIRST
after that, select the Torso SECOND
then press Create Joints

then after that, you can start rigging everything else.
(just make sure your clicking the Torso
FIRST, and then the limbs | the second part is going to be attached to the first part)
then after doing everything correctly, it should work perfectly fine

I am using rig edit lite. I think i’ve done everything you mentioned but… it still kinda acting up. I guess i’ll try to research tutorials about rigging to try and figure this out
Thanks for trying to help!
if thats the case, then i dont think the standard roblox animation editor supports custom rigs. just only the standard roblox character
even trying with other free animation editors, you cant select or animate a custom rig.
you kinda got no options but moon animator 2, i think you can only just animate custom rigs on moon animator.
theres alternate options like animating it on blender, then converting it into roblox animations. but i have no idea if it works or not.
i may be wrong tho
