How can I make a Decal Move on a Part?

Hello there.

I’m currently trying to make a fictional Times Square for my next Roblox Game, and I want to make moving Images on a Part.

  • What are you attempting to achieve? I want a decal to move from the Top of a Part to the Bottom of it. (TAKE NEON DISTRICT AS AN EXAMPLE, IT HAS LOTS OF THOSE ANIMATED DECALS)
  • What is the issue? I couldn’t implement it into my own game.
  • What solutions have you tried so far? I’ve been looking on the Internet but I couldn’t find anything.

As mentioned before, Neon District has lots of those Decals, and if you know how I could make those it’d be greatly appreciated,

PS: I really have no Idea if this is the right section to post, it’s quiet confusing, Sorry!

that’s actually impossible to do, since it’s a decal, you can do a image. but a decal, you can’t.

Yes, Sorry. Then an Image. Did you take a look at neon district? I’ll try to include a little GIF.

Do you know how I could re-create that?

i’m not to sure about that. since it’s currently impossible, maybe it’s a script only for them, but i don’t know if it’s possible.

there is one method left, maybe you won’t understand it. it’s something with the beam effect.

I’ve heard about that, and tween service, although I’m not familiar with them. I can look it up on YouTube though.

This is unfortunately impossible with decals, however if you insert a surfacegui and insert an image label and set the surfaceguis property called ignoregulinset to true then, keep positioning the image until it’s outside

For me, instead you calling them decals, some are using beam that trying act that is Decal or Surface Gui. Since beam can move.

Can you take a picture of example what are you talking about?
If not, I’m about to play that.

I’m on a low end PC currently, so it’s a pain to do so. Neon District is a great example of it.

I don’t think that’s the solution, but I will give it a shot. Thanks for trying to help!
