How do I get people to click my sponsored game

So when it comes to ads, I really figured out how to attract people to my game.

But it’s been a while since I’ve used ads and nowadays you don’t even see them anywhere. So I’ve been tying to sponsor my game.

Right now my CTR is at .26%. That’s way too low for me. How can I make players want to click my sponsor? I used to just put a joke or something in my ads but without that it’s basically the game speaking for itself.

I don’t think my icon is bad, and I even gave it flashy colors, but still no dice. Anybody got tips they want to share (probably not lol)?

(Also can’t put the actual icon up since I’m on mobile but here’s a screenshot if it:)

I think the main problem with the icon is that you’re using nothing but flashy colors, and as a result, everything blends together and the viewer doesn’t know what to look at. I’d suggest keeping the characters how they are, but changing the background to a different color. That will make the characters pop more and catch the viewer’s eye.

I like the symbol on the bottom right. Maybe just that should be your icon?

Lol I did that for the original game:

You like that one better?

I have no way to change the background but does it look better with less saturation?

This definitely looks better than the one you originally showed.

As good as done then. Maybe it’ll help.

Yes that one looks really awesome.

To be a bit more constructive, if possible the characters could still pop more than they do in it. But again, it’s better than what we first saw.

I would love to do that, too bad I didn’t have them in a separate layer. I think I can come up with something though

Usually, to get more CTR, you need to make the icon really stand out, since it is the first thing players see.
The more recent icon you sent is pretty nice but maybe do something to the text so it isnt so bland. It’s a great start though. :+1:

It also needs to attract to different genders and personalities.

You are absolutely correct.

This really attracts more male/people interested in fighting. The avatars in the icon arn’t really average robloxians since they arn’t wearing shirt or pants or have any packages. I mean I understand the game might have a certain genre it is appealing to but if the genre isn’t that big or game icon doesn’t attract younger children then low ctr will be a result. I mean a reason for low CTR could be the fact it doesn’t grab the attention of the younger kids. I mean look at what the front page games have as icons and see how yours compares.

You can see they go to attract younger kids via the icon. As well as using bright colors to attract the eyes.

I 100% agree with you. Many of the games in the popular selection excel in their games because of how they attract younger audiences with their icons and popular genres. Even with that said, any game can grab people’s attention but it’s just the different ways developers master it.

Usually how people get the most clicks is by deception, same thing with all other advertisements. Make the game look as pretty and fun or interesting as possible and it might look like its worth it. Kinda like seeing ads for the new destiny or something. Either that or make it as stupid as possible and some people might click on it as a joke. A good start would be to have a render that actually looks like a good render at least and not a roblox screenshot with medium graphics mode. The more intense or high quality the game looks the more appealing it might be.

U would want to do it to a point where theres more action and it looks hq but not to the point where u overdo it and there are so many effects in the icon that u cant tell what the hell is going on. Jailbreaks and PF icon is a good example but Jailbreaks image doesnt show what the game is about aside from just a good and bad guy. Show don’t tell is a good strategy.

Yeah, I made that picture pretty fast but it took so long to set everything up. I 100% agree with you though, a really good render would probably help.

I appreciate it! I just assumed bright color = kids will click. The whole “not looking enough like Roblox” thing also helps.

I think I really screwed up by not making the characters stand out more… But I will definitely have a fix for that once I get back to my computer.

Thanks!

Yea that does get some clicks but heres the thing. A lot of those games have reputations and hype and also a ton of ad revenue and connections. Their icon doesnt really have anything to do with it. You don’t remember meepcity for their garbage icon. You remember them from their rep and from people telling you about it
