How do I weld two models together? (Already welded once)

Attempting

I’m attempting to make a model where a part in each model is welded together.

Issues & Solutions I’ve Tried

I’ve attempted to put both of these into the same model, into a folder, and into workspace and no matter what I try it doesn’t want to weld.

Photos

Everything explained

I have two separate bricks in each model to do damage when the humanoid is Platform Standing.

As you can see in the next photo, these parts are touching each other.

These parts already have a weld to itself so that way everything stays together with these damage bricks.

I have no idea what to do, thank you to anyone who comments and helps.

try the surface weld thingy, the old way.

Try to surface it, look if it’s locked. It can be locked, that’s a possibility.

What do you mean by surface it? Apologies, i’m unaware of these other features.

you go to properties, all the way down. Then you click surface imputs or surface i dont know, and then you see frontsurface, topsurface etc and they all say smooth. click on ‘smooth’ at the surface you want it to be on (in properties) and click weld.

I hope this helped you !

Surface welding is deprecated. Use WeldConstraints instead.

Man, two years old… I can’t believe I completely forgot about this. Here’s an answer for anyone who may need it in the future.

I strongly recommend getting this plugin called Weld, formerly known as the Weld Plugin to create a mass amount of welds.

To create most types of weld(s); two parts need to be touching. Once you’ve done that, you’re able to create a weld. Whether you want to use a Weld, WeldConstraint, or anything in-between. If you want to do more advanced types of welding; definitely do more research into the types of attachments.

Happy Developing!

Actually the beauty of a weld constraint is that the parts dont need to be touching.
