i want to know how games like rivals and such track how people liked their game, i’ve searched around the forum, and theres only posts from '22 saying its against ToS. how would you do it now?
If it is against ToS then you sould should not do it. You would need to code in Java or Python or something not Lua.
Rivals doesn’t know who specifically liked their games. I tested it out in Rivals and claimed the reward without liking the game, most likely they use an API and get how much current likes their game has, and if they get an extra like they will let you claim the reward. Also it doesn’t have to be your like, so you basically steal someone else’s reward.
When games ask players to like the game for a reward, it usually means that they don’t really have a functional code for it but in the rare cases they do they mostly just compare previous likes with new likes using the Roblox API to get the likes count if the new likes difference is greater then it’d grant the reward

But please remember it is against the TOS to do this.
