I want to make a semi/realistic fishing game, similar to those such as fishing planet, Russian fishing, and call of the wild the Angler.
What solutions have you tried so far?
I have tried animating the pole but, it doesn’t account for fish size differences , plus its pretty time consuming.

-tips for the fishing line is also welcomed, im thing of using beams, trails or rope constraints
Using rope constraints and maybe raycasts would be the best way in my mind.

Have you tried updating it on runtime with bezier curves? They are easy to modify and the concept is easy to understand. There are plenty of videos explaining how they work on yt.
I’ve heard of it but never used, could you recommend a video similar to my purpose?
