How to make objects glow in Blender (Cycles)

That is my very first tutorial!!

I haven’t seen any tutorials on how to make objects glow or emit light. It is a very VERY basic thing to do so it wont take long. so i decided to make a tutorial myself. Also make sure you are in cycles.

First you go to the Shading tab and select the object

Then all you need to do is add (Shift + A) a Emission. I recommend using search instead of looking through the categories
Capture

and also add a Mix Shader
Capture

Connect the Principled BSDF to the mix shader to the (Shader) and the same thing with emission then connect the Mix Shader to the Material Output

Then play around with the colors and strength until you get perfect glow on the Emission node and the result should be like this!

This is a really simple tutorial i hope you were able to get use out of it. You could use it to make lamps and stuff.

For those of you who know it could be done without connecting nodes I just wanted to say that i prefer using nodes since it helps you understand more of how to use it because it plays a major part when making roblox gfx

If you export the model into roblox, will it keep the glow?
