How would I make a Physics based fishing rod?

I want to achieve making a Fishing rod bend like in Fishing Planet when theres something pulling on the line, I have no idea how to start.

I searched on the internet but have not found a clear answer. Any suggestions please? :slight_smile:

Off the top of my head I can only think of using inverse kinematics to achieve this.

How would make the bezier curve move based on how much weight there is pulling on it?

I guess you’d want some sort of formula that takes in a number (weight) and positions the 3 points based off of that. Personally I have no idea how to do that since I’m not really a math guy.

Off the top of my head I’d say the higher the weight value the closer the 2 edge points are and obviously the middle point would be higher in that case as well.

I still can’t figure out how to get a fishing rod working with physics, mayby i should do something with bones? Do you have any ideas?
