[OLD] (more detailed example here)
I can’t really show it in a video, because it’s very hard to see in a video, but it’s very noticeable when playing.
The controller managers are just kind of blurry, but it all goes away as soon as I insert a humanoid into the character which overrides the controller manager. The camera and scripting doesn’t matter as even if I use camera type track and just the explorer to make the character move, it’s still blurry. movement.rbxl (294.4 KB) (just click play and move left and right)
I insert a humanoid when my cursor moves to the right, which makes it smooth (not very visible in video)
Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 3080, 16 GB
Expected behavior
I expect the movement to be as smooth as regular humanoids.
We suggest adjusting the speed of the character to reduce the blurriness. You will have to tune the speed and width of the lines to improve the appearance.
When you try it with a regular humanoid, if you try to measure the speed, is it the same? When you say blurriness are you talking about how smooth the lines move?
Is all you insert just a Humanoid into the StarterCharacter?
I removed the StarterCharacter and see the same results. Do you run at a higher frame rate than 60 FPS by any chance? Because I was on 60 Hz.
Sorry for late replay but yes I measured the speed and it was the same. The controller was actually SLIGHTLY more on point than the humanoid, as that would measure something like 15.999999 before finally settling to 16. And yes the problem was fixed as soon as I inserted a humanoid and it overrode the controller. And I’m running this at 240 Hz. It wasn’t very noticeable, if at all, when I capped it to 60 Hz. But it’s still a problem for anything higher.
