HumanoidRootPart being inserted in the wrong position

Hello,

While i was rigging and importing my character from blender into Studio, i was faced with an issue i never has before, or never faces before. I have used the Import 3D option in Studio as usual, and when i insert my animation it moves my character up towards the RootPart.

In blender i made sure that my character is in the middle of the scene while making sure the pivot point is at the 3D cursor, and i have applied all transforms to my skeleton rig and the 3d meshes.

i tried deleting the RootPart that the Import 3D option adds automatically and adding my own, but when i use Motor6D to connect it to my Meshes it still does the same thing.

if your experienced or have faced this issue before and know the fix, please let me know!

Thank you all for your time!

Thank me later

If you’re confused on how to use it then let me know and I’ll answer any of your questions

whats the animation data? where do i get that from?

Basically in the post theres a pastebin

You want to save all the code as a .py file

In blender, go to edit, manage addons then install the blender code you just downloaded there

With the plugin in Studio, you export the rigs as files then import them to blender USING the brand new addon you installed with the code from the pastebin

I’m telling you this from memory and i can give you a more detailed guide later

ok i get why this would be very helpful, but this isnt fixing my issue relating to the HumanoidRootPart being in the wrong place, this plug in dosent fix that for me.

Idk heres a list of things to check

  • hrp anchored
  • model primarypart is set to hrp

Also whenever you export your rig the hrp has to be set at 0,0,0

Ive never used the pivot point

To figure out of the issue is with blender, create a regular animation with 1 or 2 keyframes with default animator

I am having the same issue where my Humanoidrootpart is normal placed in blender, but when I import it into Roblox Studio, it’s placed somewhere else. I checked that nothing is weird; I checked the pivot location and the cframe in the humanoidrootpart. Both don’t work, and I do not know why. :man_shrugging:

i had the same problem as you

1. Before

i changed everything in blender but nothing fixed it then when I changed the character and the origin to be in the center of the world, everything went fine

2. After

I’m not certain about your problem but I hope this helps
