Dental Sealants
  1. Ask them if they have any questions before starting
  2. Rinse and suction their teeth
  3. Apply etching solution to the area
  4. Dry the tooth with an air nozzle
  5. Prepare the sealant and apply it
  6. Check if it’s in the right place
  7. Cure the sealant with a curing light
  8. Complete the appointment
Cleaning
  1. Ask the patient how often they brush their teeth
  2. Ask them to open their mouth
  3. Clean their teeth with the SCRAPER (Equip Scraper)
  4. Ask them what type of toothpaste they want (Mint, Blueberry, Strawberry or Bubblegum)
  5. Apply toothpaste to their teeth
  6. Brush their teeth with the BRUSH (Equip Brush)
  7. Complete the appointment
Check up
  1. Grab the SCRAPER (Equip the scraper)
  2. Ask your patient to open their mouth
  3. Clean their teeth with the SCRAPER
  4. Grab the MIRROR (Equip the mirror)
  5. Check their teeth
  6. Ask if they have any questions
  7. Complete the appointment
Filling
  1. Ask them if they have any questions before starting
  2. Numb the area where you are putting the filling
  3. Drill the cavity, make sure all broken and infected parts are removed
  4. Suction the area
  5. Ask the patient what type of filling they want (Gold, silver or white)
  6. Fill in the hole with the type of filling they choose (“fills with [TYPE] filling”)
  7. Set the filling with a setting light
  8. Tell them that their tooth will be sensitive for a few days
  9. Complete the appointment
Dentures
  1. Ask them if they have any questions before starting
  2. Look at their teeth
  3. Take an x-ray of their teeth
  4. Make a mould of their teeth
  5. Colour match the mould to the patient’s teeth
  6. Place the dentures in the patients mouth, make sure they are comfortable
  7. Complete the appointment
Braces
Applying Braces
  1. Ask if they have any questions before starting
  2. Take an x-ray of their teeth
  3. Ask what color bands they would like
  4. Insert retractors
  5. Rinse and suction their teeth
  6. Apply an etching solution to the surfaces of the teeth
  7. Suction the solution off of the teeth surfaces
  8. Apply a droplet of glue to the centre of each tooth
  9. Put the brackets on the glue
  10. Use a setting light to set the brackets into place
  11. Take a wire and put it through each of the brackets
  12. Use the color of bands they picked and put them over the wire
  13. Trim the ends of the wire and ask if there are any sharp edges
  14. Complete the appointment
Braces Check-Up
  1. Ask if they have any questions before starting
  2. Ask if they have had any problems with their braces
  3. Ask if they have any questions about their braces
  4. Ask them to open their mouth
  5. Look at their teeth with the MIRROR (Equip the mirror)
  6. Take an x-ray
  7. Tell them that they will need to get their braces tightened or removed at their next appointment
  8. Complete the appointment
Braces Tightening
  1. Ask if they have any questions before starting
  2. Ask if they have had any problems with their braces
  3. Ask what color bands they would like
  4. Take off the old bands
  5. Take off the wire
  6. Get a new wire and put it through each of the brackets
  7. Put the new bands over the wire
  8. Trim the ends of the wire and ask if there are any sharp edges
  9. Complete the appointment
Braces Removal
  1. Ask if they have any questions before starting
  2. Ask if they have had any problems with their braces
  3. Take off the old bands
  4. Take off the wire
  5. Use pliers to remove the brackets
  6. Use a SCRAPER to clean off the glue (Equip the scraper)
  7. Make a mould of their teeth
  8. Take an x-ray
  9. Complete the appointment
Whitening
  1. Ask them if they have any questions
  2. Ask them to open their mouth
  3. Cover the client’s gums in gel
  4. Apply whitening gel to the surfaces of each tooth
  5. Use an activating light
  6. Rinse and suction the teeth
  7. Remove the gel from the gums
  8. Tell your patient that their teeth will be sensitive and should avoid eating for the next hour
  9. Complete the appointment
Bonding
  1. Ask them if they have any questions
  2. Mix a composite resin that matches your patients teeth
  3. Abrade the surfaces of the teeth that are being bonded
  4. Apply the resin to the teeth
  5. Use a curing light
  6. Polish the teeth and ask if they are happy
  7. Complete the appointment
Emergency
  1. Make a judgement of the situation and use your roleplaying to professionally handle the situation. Use other procedures if needed
Wisdom Teeth Removal
  1. Ask them if they have any questions
  2. Rinse and suction the teeth
  3. Use a general anaesthetic to put them to sleep
  4. Loosen the wisdom teeth
  5. Remove the wisdom teeth
  6. Suction the teeth
  7. Insert cotton wool rolls into the gaps
  8. Wake them up and put an ice pack over their mouth
  9. Complete the appointment
Extraction
  1. Ask them if they have any questions
  2. Rinse and suction
  3. Numb the area
  4. Poke the gum with a SCRAPER and ask if they can feel anything (Equip the scraper)
  5. Loosen the tooth
  6. Remove the tooth
  7. Suction the teeth
  8. Insert cotton wool rolls into the gaps
  9. Tell them to rinse their mouth after meals and that it will be painful for a few days
  10. Complete the appointment
