Is this the right topic?
Basically i have a main menu took me 2 - 3 days to make but i needed a little help from one of my friends so i let him take the model and he fixed it for me but i forgot to put the model offsale this was weeks ago when this happend and then i checked my transactions and
9 people had took it i quickly took it offsale if anyone that took it had a game that got big there would be nothing i could do i cant send a DMCA takedown notice because it was a free model for a short time what do i do!
Ask Roblox to delete these from their inventories or ask them to delete.
You don’t have developer tools that will give you the option to delete from specific people because its your model.
You can give it a try in (pick website features)
Via customer support, Twitter, Roblox staff . That’s our only option as developers.
Roblox needs to upgrade our communication tools ( Devs → Roblox staff).
Yeah, I guess so.
Try to have a conversation with the support and tell them this was by accident and you want it to be private, there is not much to do.(before that save a copy of the model before they delete it or making it private, We don’t know what they will do).
This is the best option for you @spydercam500
I wish Roblox stopped trying to make the chat filter worse better and focused on some very much needed privacy features for developer assets.
All relevancy to the thread aside, current chat filter sucks.
Back to relevancy; I support Roblox adding at least an option to… uh… delete assets? There’s no point in not having it, I mean in reality we can then choose to save them space with irrelevant assets we made ages ago.
This goes for models, places (help,) and any other assets that can be made by developers.
And securing it isn’t super hard (in case of compromised accounts.)
Account pin
Password
Two-Step (via phone.)
Two-Step (via email.)
All of those are valid security options for this, come on Roblox! The bandwagon is rolling.
Ive just thought of a easier way instead of talking with roblox support ill just overwrite the asset with a new one thats not the menu so they cant use it again plus even if i did talk with roblox support to delete it it wouldnt be deleted if it was in there game so in theory is the same thing basically right?
Step 3, do the usual process to upload the part to roblox.
Step 4, when is giving you the option to upload it to roblox, click the option in the left corner
click on the option that says “overwrite existing asset”.
