So, Im an Indie Dev and I plan on launching it as a Beta and sponsoring over the course of a week for 11k, I just want to get opinions and feedback on the game before I fully go through with it really, any feedback will be appreciated a ton. The Realms (BETA) - Roblox
maybe you should have it so you can close the shop by clicking the cart again (yes I circled the wrong icon ) and for the other ui too
also the gyzmo guy you talk to for the tutorial the dialogue takes like 10 seconds to continue after he finishes his sentence, idk if thats intentional or not but maybe you can make it so it’s click to continue his text
oh yeah I also got teleported to a room where I have to dodge balls but only 1 ball spawned and didn’t move idk if that is intentional too
lobby is very cool but maybe you can make the teleporting boxes look more interesting idk thats just me tho
the credits button dont do anything idk if its still a work in progress
you can spam the dialogue at the safe area
also when you exit dialogue the dialogue speech sound still plays
also how do you sell things cus I was kind of confused on that part
overall cool concept
I recommend checking this out:
To give feedback myself…
Game Page / Landing Page
- There’s only one thumbnail
- The badge icons are simple, but good
- There’s nothing in the store, not that there needs to be, just a note
- There’s no Content Maturity label: (which can stop people from playing your game)
Main Menu
- UI
- Love the title screen
- The 'Play' and other text could be less transparent so people can see it better. I'd opt for darkening color rather than transparency.
- The Credits button doesn't seem to work for me
- Audio - turning off the music, and turning it back on starts the music from the beginning, not sure if resuming would be better, just a note
Lobby
- The UI is inconsistent. The Settings icon at the bottom right could be white and transparent like the other icons. Different parts of the game (settings, quests, achievements, etc.) have different fonts, which is bad for general UI/UX practice. I'd stick to just the edge font like in the title and one other legible font. The X/close icons are also inconsistent, some being red and others being white. The one in the quests menu is difficult to see.
- Store - I love the outfits, but they take a second to load. You may benefit from loading them and having a load screen? https://create.roblox.com/docs/reference/engine/classes/ContentProvider#PreloadAsync
- Being able to sit down on the logs near the campfire in the lobby would be nice
- Love the lobby environment, but the statue in the way of the path and the signs aren't great.
Gameplay / In-Game
- The camera movement can be nauseating
- The Lexicon & tutorial kinda tell you the something, but its cool there’s more than one person
- I picked up a Dragon Ball, eyeball, and straw hat, but Lexicon doesn’t react to that. Having a simple, “oh this isn’t a ‘usable’ item” might be good
- I died to to the spike on the ceiling by jumping into it on purpose, which said I died to a bug
I’ll call it there. I really should work on my own game a bit or something before I have to sleep, cause I have work in the morning. I might come back to the game to give it a fair chance. Sorry if my thoughts are scattered. Hope this helps and best of luck!
