Importing into Blender

Recently, I have been importing a lot of things into Blender (v1.79) and I was wondering why they never “spawn” at the origin once imported. They always appear in the ‘outer grey’ areas instead of the central grid. Does anyone know why this is happening/how to change or fix this?

Did you mean to say v2.79?
You can easily fix this by pressing Shift + Ctrl + Alt + C on the imported mesh and then selecting Geometry to Origin

Awesome, I will try that, and yes I meant v2.79

When I do this (I am importing a character rig) it bunches it up like this:

Is there any way to make it stay in position?

So what you’re going to do is

  1. Press A which selects all the objects
  2. Press Shift + Ctrl + Alt + C and select Origin to Geometry

  1. Press Shift + S and select Selection to Cursor (Offset)

Is there a way to change the ‘spawn’ location of every model I import to the origin of the grid?

In studio, take the object you’re trying to import into blender at 0,0,0 cords while in studio. That could help your issue.
