As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to understand the PlayerFeedback API prompt message.
Many developers have cited confusion about the feature working, and the prompt messages, in the Announcement thread about the feature. This was the response from a Staff member:
I find the “Feedback Unavailable” message vague and unintuitive.
It’d be best if the UI outright told owners of the game that they cannot give feedback because they are the owner. The limitation of owner-feedback makes sense generally but the UX behind it does not -although it does also stop testing the feature.
Mainly: Not displaying the UI at all, if feedback was already submitted, creates issues for us developers. Players question if the feature works in the first place.
A message telling players how long they have to wait until they can submit feedback again, would be great. Or, at the least a note on the 24-hour cooldown generally.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because I could better understand what’s going on with the PlayerFeedback API.
