What? Excuse me? Remake it using AI?? Make your own icon, then it will be yours. You clearly do not know anything about art or copyright infringement. Please educate yourself before you start doing things that are illegal.
Of course! Just don’t steal that thumbnail by “removing” the watermark and pretend like it’s yours. If you want to use AI, I believe there is a absolutely no problem.

Uh noooo… Do you even know how that kind of AI is powered? It’s by other artists. It’s taking all the other artist’s work, and smashing it into one picture. That’s called stealing. Also, you did not make the image so how can you copyright it? If anything its the AI’s work not yours
There’s no problem with that. As long as you’re not remaking the thumbnail perfectly (no difference with the original), you can use that thumbnail for your game.

the AI isn’t a human so i wouldn’t go as far as calling it stealing. AI art generators use machine learning algorithms and deep neural networks to generate art, they don’t copy from other artists.

It seems you don’t know a whole lot about this subject, so I’ll explain: AI takes already made images by human people and combines and distorts them to make them seem original. The results aren’t great now, but in a few years people may start losing their jobs because of it. It’s a rather serious matter and I implore you to do more research on it

Using AI to remake a thumbnail from another popular game might still break the original creator’s rights. If the resulting image closely resembles the original, it could be seen as a violation of the TOS. What you made looks really like the original so i would personally not use it. Try making something totally different. As i said previously, AI art generators are totally fine as long as you don’t copy someone’s work perfectly.
It is what it is mono… It has to happen and it’s gonna happen. Everyone’s gonna lose their job because of AI. Scripters, Graphic Designers, UI Designers, Music Composers … Weather you use AI or not, it’s not gonna matter

In my opinion, it looks a bit too much like the original one so i wouldn’t do it at all. If you’re ready to take the risk, then go find out (don’t blame me, I told you not to do it). Honestly, just try making something REALLY DIFFERENT.
