if this gets passed then
im going to be sad
Im sorry but this update was not asked for nor needed.
This might not be a problem to big developers who make a lot. But this will certainly be a pain to others relying on donations, commissions and small games. 3 days were ok in my opinionā¦
7 days isā¦ so much.
Iām a bit confused, if I already have funds pending since the 24th of October will it change to 7 more days, because thatās a bit um, interesting I guess, waiting extra 7 days?
7 days is way too much. Maybe try giving the full amount of robux over a couple of days. For example I made 500 robux from a gamepass (with roblox tax). I would get 500 divided by x amount of days every day. This is a way better solution than waiting 7 days to get robux.
Exactly, Iām a bit disappointed, I have funds pending since the 24th of October, I donāt know if theyāre gonna take extra 7 days, like this is stupid.
7 days are still loooong, maybe 3 days and amount divided by 3 per day. Thatād be great!
This dosent make sense though, why would they make it even longer. Like my group had a burst in sales from an ad and we needed that robux for November 1st to pay someone, that really is frustrating. They should remove taxes if they plan to make it a 7 Day Wait. Well I hope this works out for the best
That would be devastating to the Roblox economy. DevEx rates will go down if they remove the tax. And besides, you are using Roblox services for free. At most a reduction but not a removal.
Is anyone even reading at this point?
It says ārange from three to seven days, depending on risk of fraud or abuseā, not just 7. If you are a legitimate developer you should still get a 3 day turn-around.
Thereās more impactful stuff to get passionate over than something as trivial as this that is assumingly not even going to affect any of you.
But how is that determined? How would they know if weāre a ālegitimate developerā?
Are you committing fraud or abuse with Robux purchases? You should already know the answer to these questions.
You can use your imagination on typical telltale signs they would use to check for this. This is not worth discussing about in detail and they arenāt going to publish the telltale signs because it could benefit people that attack the system. Obviously they are picking these signs not to impact legit developers.
As above, looks like nobody is reading at this point:
You arenāt accounting for the possible false detection by the pending sales algorithm. What if some legitimate developer makes a lot of robux from gamepasses and the algorithim falsely detects that they are commiting fraud? It would screw up the developer, forcing them to wait a week until they get their robux. This is a cause for concern regarding this update.
This is awful, three days is already alot but a week??? I get this is to prevent fraud but if anything this just causes a longer wait for developers to receive their revenue
A whole week is alot. 3 days is okay, but A WHOLE WEEK? Just imagine a small developer. That developed a cool game. And he worked hard for that robux that he got. Or small clothing groups. They create ORIGINAL content and they got their first buy. They want to advertise their clothing but they must wait A WEEK! For that amount of time you can forget about that ad. This update is worst.
I know iām late to this, but I see no reason this should be happening, in fact it should be a shorter period of time. Not a good update on Robloxās part.
Yeah, but unfortunately not everyone has those funds just lying around.
it does make sense from your viewpoint, but I donāt think thatās the case. Making a game and earning Robux should not be considered as a ājobā unless you want to consider it as one, and if you do then the end goal would be to exchange it for real money. You can only exchange your Robux once a month, meaning that developers that can exchange, gets paid once a month. To simplify it, getting the Robux you earned is not a ājobā, itās a process.
the problem with extending the timeframe of waiting period is that small developers are usually not āstackedā. They have to spend it on advertisements or sponsors to keep their game alive, and if it takes 7 days to get their Robux, their game will be dead before they even get what they earned. Possible that they will be forever stuck on the cycle unless they buy Robux () or something.
Disappointing Update
It already takes so long to earn the funds, and you guys are going to make it even longer? This isnāt helping developers in any way.
Great job. Itās not like Roblox has made it increasingly harder in past few years for start ups with limited resources to attract attention to an ever growing and increasingly competitive platform. You want to grow the website but keep suppressing the little guy.
