Is it possible for paid access games to get some sort of “Projected Premium Payouts” data? I’d like to compare what i’d be making with paid access off and it’s kind of hard to do since the system is so enigmatic
this is a great thing to do as im sure it will help a lot of small developers trying to have a budget, i dont really think we need to be worrying about it being abused as it could be abused without this update. overall this update is really good and helps a lot of people
This is awesome. Thank you for the update. I’m sure it’ll help many of us, because I know it’ll help me.
This is great for us developers (although I do feel like this is more or less of a tea act from Roblox in order to try to stop us from rampaging about voice chat and display names). I am definitely happy about this because premium payouts is a lot of my income because I am still learing how to make dev-products and gamepasses.
I do understand people are worried about this being exploited but who on earth would spend like $100 on 20 bots to get them premium payouts? I don’t think you can earn your money back easily.
I think this movement is to encourage developers to give premium users benefits in their games. If they don’t see enough games giving premium benefits I am sure they will lower it eventually.
(To be clear I was advising that you put premium benefits in your game or premium payout rates might lower).
Obviously a good thing, but has anyone posted numbers to show whesther or not premium payouts are worth a developers time? I know they use to not be worth catering towards, but not sure anymore.
I do feel it’s a little bit of a red light that Roblox allows a small different stream of revenue while then slightly increasing it, and slightly increasing the same stream again and again. What about ‘taxes’, large wait time for , and the overall worth in exchange?
Any change allowing ROBLOX to be a sustainable place for developers to make an income is a wonderful decision. This will allow ROBLOX to grow as a platform and keep skilled developers from leaving.
If a player with Premium 2200 plays a game, will the developer earn more compared to if a player with Premium 450 plays the game?
Awesome, I’m so happy because with more robux being spent making merchandise, badges, and hiring people who can do other things for you is gonna be hard to pay, you’ll want to be able to earn more robux to pay everything, this will help a lot.
An idea that I had was that Roblox could pay paid access games fewer premium payouts compared to free games, as paid access games already make revenue from people paying to play their game. This way it can kind of balance out.
A game I work on with about 2-3k players gets 20k per day from premium payout before this change. Its nothing massive for that amount of players but its a nice bonus.
This is very great! It’s surely going to help me and other developers.
wow!
this is why i love roblox.
when you know the platform supports the creators, you know that the platform is thinking about their developers.
thank you! keep being awesome roblox <3
yes bobux very cool roblox thank you
This is honestly amazing for smaller developpers trying to make profit. I’m glad they finally acknowledged it!
This is fantastic! This will get us enough Robux to afford adds / shirt fees.
People are saying that this could get abused but premium payouts take so long to go into funds by roblox reviewing them. This update doesn’t do anything bad or can be abused good update.
Amazing update! This’ll help us developers a lot and will keep us going. Good job Roblox!
No its based on total playtime by premium members.
5x is what they increased it by and 9x is how much it has increased since it started
