Integrate Your Roblox Marketplace Items Into Guilded

I don’t understand, couldn’t just put links? I’ve never used this, wouldn’t the links show the item? Why is this a thing?

It’s nothing compared to the other communication services that are out there. Discord has close to 200 million monthly active users, I can’t even find any source on the monthly active users for Guilded but if it’s even a few million, then I’ll be quite surprised. I run both Guilded and a Discord server for my game and the Discord grows by so much more that Guilded doesn’t even make up in 24 hours the activity that my Discord has in 15 minutes.

This is equivalent to “The UAE is nothing compared to Egypt and Pakistan”. yeah, It’s not like I care about how many people use discord and guilded. Discord is banned in my country becuase they hate VoiP applications, “Just use a VPN” isn’t the answer because VPN’s are also banned in my country

Just search in google “How many people use guilded?”

you could have just dm this update to every guilded user

Would there be ways to integrate automated tools to coexist with roblox (api) and guilded? Like an API for roblox engine that coexists with guilded to handle moderation (i.e Mute somebody without having to be in roblox but simply using a command in guilded to mute that somebody)

The point of using a communication service is to reach the maximum amount of users for your game, I’m simply explaining to you that because of how unpopular Guilded is, it’s unviable to run a community through it if you want to reach your audience. I honestly have no idea what you’re trying to say and it seems I’ve angered you so I’ll drop it here. Have a good day.

Hey!

Personally, I would say that Guilded not being as popular as Discord is my biggest reason why I am not using it. The vibes wouldn’t feel the same.

Basically, you can say that Guilded could never be as same as Discord. (The theme is also weird as well anyway lol)

thats very cool. it would be a great idea to cooperate with discord too

How would Roblox do that if they don’t have any access of Discord? What would this even look like? Would you mirror all accounts? Messages?

Alright so heres my thing, this is a great feature of course! Though I would like to point out a few things I think Guilded should do from a community perspective if the target audience is to attract new users from the Roblox platform.

You have already begun integrating ways to connect with the website aspect of the platform with group announcements (great start) though not entirely enough for a switch. I mean from a realistic aspect there’s no way to transfer from Discord to Guilded so communities would take a huge member cut. That member cut is what you are trying to offset (most communities will not run two platforms for communication) so you are really pulling from one to the other. There needs to be some revenue incentive or some way to integrate games with Guilded. Encourage interaction, ways to advertise your Guilded on the platform.

Really wrapping it all up, you must integrate Guilded into Roblox into almost all aspects that the member loss can be made up for. You are all slowly starting to achieve that goal, just I think you might be looking in the slightly wrong place for it.

All in all its a great feature that will make it easy for certain communities, but you must really create some incentive for communities to switch. As much as features are great, incentives work better especially for communities.

Can you guys please stop pushing guilded so hard?
I know of 0 people who use guilded so it seems kind of odd that you keep doing all this stuff
All of these integrations seem really cool but it seems like wasted potential with the non-existent user base
Nobody is going to create a guilded account just for one roblox group, so unless you guys merge roblox and guilded accounts, it seems like its going to end up like Google+ or the forums

Main Roblox developer Guilded server has a significant user base.

Can you stop providing misinformation and hating on a platform that you don’t use?

How is it misinformation? Also how am I hating?

I can say with 100% accuracy that there are a lot less roblox users with guilded than other social platforms that developers may already use

I am also not lying when i say i know no-one who uses guilded

My final point still stands,
but even if people do create one-off accounts, they will be rarely used and do nothing but waste server space

If you want Roblox to integrate into Discord with this store, first Roblox needs good relations with them. They don’t. Even if they did, it’s almost guaranteed Discord wouldn’t modify their application.

Guilded is owned by Roblox, therefore these features are going to be implemented without any problems.

How is what you said misinformation? You said their user base is non-existent, I told you it wasn’t.

I never said that at all
I said what roblox was doing isnt really practical due to the very low user base making developers not use it

Developers already have communities, they arent going to sacrifice them because roblox did a cool thing with guilded

That also isn’t what Roblox said. Where are you fabricating this information where Roblox is instructing users to eradicate their existing communities?

…do you not know how hard moving communities is?

I think it’s very welcome that Roblox groups and Guiled are joining forces. This makes many things possible for communities that were previously not possible. I’m increasingly considering stopping using my DC server and switching to Guiled . I’m still missing little things that I think would be great to give the last push. For example, I would think it would be great if we could also use chats from Guiled in Roblox (I hope you understand what I mean).

I’m a little late to the conversation here, but for me (and probably many others) it’s less that Guilded is owned by Roblox, and more that Guilded is inherently very heavily linked to Roblox because of that.

A great example of this would be how when Ruben Sim made a Guilded server but due to Ruben Sim being hated by Roblox as much as he is, they not only banned him, but also everyone who was in the server he made on Guilded
(Note: I can’t remember if it was just the Guilded accounts getting banned, or if anyone who had a linked Roblox account also got moderation on their Roblox accounts - Additionally, I can’t find any trustworthy sources on this anymore, so take my word with a grain of salt)

Roblox is known to have horrible support (both for non-legal and legal issues) - who’s to say Guilded isn’t suffering the same issues? (there aren’t enough people on the platform to begin with, much less people who would have needed to contact Guilded support, so nobody can truthfully say if it’s as bad or not - Maybe Guilded has a well staffed and well trained team that actually cares about the userbase, maybe the Roblox support team is working two jobs now, nobody knows for certain)

I outright can’t even trust Roblox to handle something as simple as an asset archival request, because it took 8 months before it was actioned on, despite the fact that for most of that 8 months I had support telling me the request didn’t exist/was deleted.
I also can’t trust Roblox to keep kids safe, because if extremely NSFW images can stay up for years on end despite being reported several times, who’s to say all the groomers wouldn’t make a shift to Guilded from a sheer lack of safety for children on it?

Why would I for even a second trust them to keep my personal chat platform safe and secure?

(As a completely unrelated note, Guilded has emptied my profile twice since signing up, I can only assume they have some sort of inactivity thing which empties profiles of users who don’t use Guilded for X amount of time - my account is 100% secure as far as I can tell, it’s just cleaned out portions of my profile when I leave it alone for months)

I feel you! Some players like me really want to be able to do this but we just cant!
