Introducing Off-Platform Featuring for Creator Events

Hi Creators,

We’re excited to roll out the Off-Platform Featuring Program, a new way for your experiences’ events and updates to reach a global off-platform audience.

This update connects the existing Events & Updates feature in Creator Hub to off-platform placements on the App Store, Google Play, and Roblox’s marketing channels, giving players more ways to discover and re-engage with your experiences.

What’s New

The Off-Platform Featuring Program highlights noteworthy experience events and updates through coordinated campaigns across Roblox app store listings and marketing channels.

To participate in the program, you can now submit your events for off-platform featuring directly from your Creator HubEvents & Updates page.

If your event is selected, Roblox’s marketing teams will feature it alongside official Roblox campaigns, including one or more of the following surfaces:

  • App Store In-App Event Cards
  • Google Play Promotional Content
  • Roblox global marketing channels

These placements highlight key events such as limited-time content, seasonal moments, major new updates, collaborations, and other special events, helping your experience reach millions of new and returning players worldwide.

How It Works

  1. Go to your experience’s Events & Updates page in Creator Hub.

  2. Create an event with complete metadata (title, thumbnail, description, schedule).

  3. Select Submit for Featuring and add a short tagline summarizing your event.

  4. Roblox’s marketing teams will review eligible submissions and evaluate based on trends and seasonal alignment.

  5. Once selected, Creators will be notified and asked to provide event-specific art assets, including one of the following asset formats:

    1. Option A — Final Images

    2. Option B — Layered .PSD File

    • 4000×4000 px
  6. Selected events are then featured on global app stores and marketing surfaces.

For full more info, visit the Experience Events & Updates Creator Hub documentation.

Who’s Eligible

To be considered for off-platform featuring, submitted events must meet the following criteria:

  • The submitting creator must be 13 years of age or older with an email address linked to their account.

  • The submission must represent a time-limited event or significant experience update (for example: seasonal content, feature update, collaboration, anniversary, challenge, etc.)

  • The event must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the event start date and must be set to public and active while the event is live (max 30 days).

  • All event metadata, including title, description, schedule, and thumbnails, must be accurate and true to the event’s content.

  • The event and its assets must comply with Roblox community standards and content guidelines.

After Your Event

After your featured event concludes, you’ll receive a performance report summarizing how many views and interactions your event generated off-platform.

Future versions will integrate real-time reporting through direct integration with app store APIs.

Next Steps

We’re launching our initial pilot this month (Dec. 2025), where we’ll feature 3–5 creator-submitted holiday events directly on the App Store and Google Play.

Looking ahead, we’re already working on several improvements that will roll out in early 2026:

  • Creator notifications for featuring status and asset requests
  • Automated performance reporting with insights into how events perform off-platform

We’ll continue expanding the program as we gather feedback from the pilot.

Thank You

Thank you to all creators who continue to build, experiment, and innovate with events on Roblox.

Your creativity drives the platform forward, and we can’t wait to showcase your work to players around the world.

We’d love your feedback as we refine this program. Please share your thoughts or questions in the comments below.

So, what exactly happens if someone toggles the setting on. Does it send E-Mails to all Roblox Staff?

I know that the Apple store and Google play store have strict regulations on what should be on thumbnails. What will happen in the event that an asset gets approved by Rōblox, but once featured on the Apple store or Play store, the entire app somehow gets taken down?

This is a possibility worth considering and plans for it.

Not an expert but I doubt it

Pretty neat that developers can participate in this simply by flipping a toggle and writing a short tagline. That’s some great DX (Developer eXperience)

I quite like this update. Good work.

probably just goes to a large pool where they do very quick review with initial AI priority filtering I assume

Great question! Turning on the toggle does not send an email to Roblox staff. It simply flags your event in our internal review system, where the appropriate teams can see it and evaluate it for potential featuring.

Thank you for your feedback. Before any event is published off-platform, our team reviews all submitted assets to ensure they meet Apple’s and Google Play’s policies, in addition to Roblox guidelines. Events are only featured once they pass this compliance check, which prevents the risk of removal or enforcement actions on the app.

This seems like a great feature to use, I’ll consider using it when I can on one of my games that will be getting a quality update. Hope it gets featured!

I submitted one and then realised that I don’t meet one criteria (submitted 14 days prior to event starting).

That’s a shame because there will be a lot of games like mine which are running a season event in the lead up to the festive period. Timing of this feature maybe should have been considered and tried to get it out sooner before Christmas.

How will you “notify” developers? There are no details in the documentation either.

Great question! Selected developers will be notified via the email address linked to their account.

Who is actually eligible for this? or is it just luck of the draw?
