My username is too long of a story to explain (please reach out to me if you are curious about it, I would love to give the whole explanation)… but TLDR ‘soobsok’ is the pronunciation of ‘inside the forest’ in Korean…! Thought about weaving a bit of Korean-ness into my user identity since I’m the newest addition to the Developer Engagement Team as a representative based in Korea!
Our first week was already off to a dramatic start with the huge community event that was held in Korea a couple weeks ago… and I hate to admit but… I may already have fallen in love with this community. Are we moving too fast? Not sure… but I have to say I THRIVE in fast-paced settings :0
Apart from my MINOR heartfelt confession, I am super excited to be working with you all! I will always be here to share any insight/knowledge about how to better grow and support the great developer community in Korea.
Seeing more developer engagement & support staff enter the community is always lovely, and I’m glad to see that another region is getting some love from ROBLOX.

Now I’m curious to know the story behind your name, especially if it means ‘within the forest’. I wonder what happened. It would have been a pleasure to meet at the Korean community event, but due to some issues, I couldn’t attend. Also, welcome to your teammate @Ssamssam33, and congratulations on being part of the Developer Engagement Team!
I can understand that everything in the first week was crazy, but it is cool that you enjoyed connecting with the community and helping the Korean community to grow.
I’m not Korean, but I can assure that they would appreciate and be happy to see you on their side and contribute with them as much as possible!
