Introducing Talent Hub Open Beta - New Platform to Find & Post Work!

I’ve been using the Talent Hub for a little while now and I believe that Roblox needs to delay the closing of the collaboration category due to plenty of bugs with the Talent Hub in its current state, plus most people unable to be hired or find jobs due to the restrictions that are imposed on people using account PINs. I’m having to rely on friends who don’t have PINs on their account to refer me to jobs.

Plus, I’ve heard that the Talent Hub has filtering on right now, this needs to be less extreme considering that the Talent Hub is targeted at DevForum members, which hasn’t had to experience hardly any filtering.

Hello again, I had one more thing to add, I don’t know if this has already been stated(I didn’t read all the replies, there are a lot), but I definitely think that filters need to save after viewing jobs. Every time, I put in filters and try to find jobs that work for me, and after I view one person’s job post and go back to search, I lose it all and have to put in all the filters over again.

Edit: This happens inconsistently but happens the majority of the time

Really confused about this, I added offsite links to my experiences thinking that if it allows me to input it, it must be allowed, but then I get this

Seems weird as this prompt was presumably purposefully added

ngl, the idea is cool and all, but needing to have ‘special access’ to it is killing the idea off. what if someone is a new dev and isn’t recognised in the community? how would they be recognised otherwise?
(speaking as someone without the access)

It will be available to all users soon. It’s in beta at the moment.

I have realised it’s in beta, but calling it an ‘open’ beta is a bit misleading considering they mentioned it’ll be opened up a bit more in the 15th of August. (it’s the 20th)

As far as I can tell all users will have access by September 1st, developers are added in waves. I do have access and right now I can tell you that you’re not missing much, this site is not yet equipped with the ability to get new creators recognized, the search doesn’t work very well in my experience, most people can only see verified creators (which the majority of creators aren’t, especially new devs). Right now the only real thing it’s useful for is posting job listings. However even that isn’t great as the roblox filter comes in and basically #'s your entire chat message with the potential employer making the site almost unusable as a professional setting. Basically right now there’s too much of the site that isn’t in a great state that what you specifically asked for (recognition of a new dev) isn’t even possible on the platform at this time. Hopefully future updates solve these problems, but currently not having access doesn’t change much.

Looks good. Mobile UI could be a little better though.

As you can see, the icon overlaps.

Excited to see how this goes.

Another thing to add: Why are account pin users restricted? I have not met a single player who does not use their account pin for security. They should just make it so people with account restrictions on can only access certain parts, because tons of devs and even just players use account pin for security measures.

One thing that has been mentioned multiple times, they don’t support Talent Hub on mobile devices yet.

Yes, I was finally able to enter the talent Hub. I am very happy to be inside. I hope to learn more about this type of topic. I loved it a lot. :star_struck: :grinning:

When’s the next wave, is there something I must do since I’m still not qualified like should I disable my pin or something? Everyone’s already moved their portfolio while I’m still here waiting and it’s getting very frustrating since people go at Talent Hub now instead of collaborations.

You don’t need to disable your pin, that just effects what content you’ll see on the site. You just have to be patient I guess.

They still only allow certain links on the Talent Hub:

https://talent.roblox.com/consent

You agreed to these terms when first using Talent Hub FWIW.

I was making my bio and I noticed in Skills that there is no skill for translating? What am I supposed to do, leave it blank? I would appreciate if you could add translating to the Talent Hub before you remove the Collaboration category

Edit: Nevermind, if you manually typing Translating it’ll let you put it, but I would still like if translating was a supported skill.

I added a link to a dev forum post and received this notice:

It doesn’t help that it doesn’t even say the reason for the warning

You Should Make A Test For It If Player Passes He / She Would Be Qualified

Are there any plans to add a light-mode to the Talent Hub website? It allows for better accessibility.

Roblox is planning to give access to Talent Hub to majority of people by September 1st, so there is no reason add a test for that.

Also tests for access to a certain place is a terrible, terrible idea. Especially for a website that will have thousands people.
