This is still such embarrassment of an API. The alt detection is worse then we expected it too be.
They had mentioned they aiming towards ensuring no false positives were made rather than possibly false banning a user who isn’t an alt. They are working on improving it though.

There is so many ways this could actually be useful, I mean Byfron Hyperion legit uses anti alt that’s better then this. I’m pretty sure that uses storing a value within USERDATA.DAT or HWID related. Why not implement something like that into this, IF false bans is why this is why this is currently so horrible.

I tested on my alts and got similar results. Is it possible that it doesn’t ban alts that do not share the same email or if no email is linked to that account?
Yes, I usually use my main account for YT tutorials. Fortunately, I said lets be safe and try it on a test game instead doing it on one of my real games. I would have been locked out of my real game for good. I guess there is still no solution on how to unban a permanently banned player?
Bruh, “Adult Content” word is now filtered, and i can’t ban people for inappropriate stuff. Thanks Roblox

I feel this. I had my ban messages setup in such way it’d tell the user to make or submit an appeal through our communications server and now that text is filtered.

Great, now ROBLOX filters out whenever you want to put the date the player will unbanned on.

Having the same issues as the people above, with things like “inappropriate behaviour” being censored among other things, which was not an issue before. Giving correct reasons is nigh impossible right now.

Join the game on an alt, that’s what I did. It’s very strange that Roblox doesn’t just let you use the API within Studio. Yeah OpenCloud API exists but it’s kinda frustrating Roblox disabled it in Studio for no particular reason.

I banned myself to test the thing but if you have an alt join the game and the game has a server script with some code that unbans your user ID specifically it should unban you just fine. But this API definitely should be available in Studio.

It is impressively stupid that the player does not get banned from the game because the ban message was filtered.

Does any feature Roblox adds go under ANY QA testing? Like at all?
I mean the alt detection being absolute shit was one thing.
But the text now being filtered makes it even more useless of an API.
I’d rather reimplement my old ban system with my own unfiltered kick message.

Nobody cares if you don’t support it, you’re not the developer of the games that want it, it’s your fault for violating their rules and you do not have the right to play again if you’re banned, the new Ban API is a W for developers.

I hate to break it to you but it is available in Studio, you just need to enable the Command Bar (which is already there by default when you install Roblox Studio).
You’ll find that it’s actually useful except for it not being readable on more lines but at least it works.
