Introducing Trusted Reviews on Creator Marketplace

We might change this UX later if this is confusing, but essentially, if you hit the “close button”, your “upvote” will be counted (as a rating), but no review will be written.

And this is the part where I slam my head against my keyboard, because I neglected to take this into consideration. Guess I’ll take the L on this one.

Unrelated note, but Y E S.

This is a nice addition to the Toolbox!

Something similar could be good for experiences too!

  • Only those that acquire the asset are able to submit reviews. This helps improve reliability and authenticity of the feedback provided.

why not restrict the requirement to ID verified and user owns the asset? unless Roblox expects blackmarket to show up for buying botted user reviews

otherwise this is a good addition to the marketplace if no one abuses it

This reminds me of how steam reviews are where people can reward or mark a review as helpful or funny. I like this approach that the team has chosen. Very excited to see this update pushed out!

It is very confusing. It should get changed in my opinion.

Why does the filler text (in the comments of the image) refer to a subscription model? Are you planning on adding such a thing for plugins?

Now add it to games and marketplace. (with some sort of captcha/spam bot saftey in place)

Removing dislikes was horrible on YouTube for a reason, it silences warnings of scams even further. I agree that a trusted review system might be good for games but most people won’t bother reading them and therefore more likely to fall for a scam.

Both would be combined…people would write the reviews and give a dislike or like.

Will there be an option to rate audio on the marketplace? This way, we can determine the average liking of the song or sound effect.

Is there either a captcha or a proof-of-work to prevent botting?

When I try to leave a review it says “Your review for [Insert Plugin Name] has not been submitted. Please try again. Only reviews from users who have used this asset are shown” even if I have got, and used the plugin many times. Is this supposed to happen?

i remember someone month ago asking it to be added on development discussion, so it was implented due to rdc? or due to hope more investors will more invest into roblox?

The first thing that came to my mind was bot reviews and bot upvoting. I hope there will be measures to prevent these reviews and inflated helpful numbers from happening.

Some ideas/suggestions I have are to wait a certain amount of time after using the item to leave a review or check the age of the account before letting them post a review.

I am the creator of a plugin, and I can no longer respond to reviews as previously. Has the “reply from creator” feature been disabled?

Have you tried purchasing the item first? I believe, if you don’t purchase it, you don’t get the ability for a trusted review.

Well, I am the creator of the plugin, so there is no option to purchase my own plugin, and it says that it is already in my inventory.

It worked fine in the past, but now I do not see the option to reply to a review.

We are looking into this issue and will respond on the main report thread - Trusted Reviews - Respond To Review Option Missing
