I’m primarily a Game / Web Developer, but I also sometimes do UI Design or Building.
I found the platform in 2014, but I honestly can’t remember how exactly since it is a long time ago, and started using it actively as a developer around 2016. I expanded out of Roblox mid 2018, and that’s where I started Web Development (both front- and backend).
Currently, I work on open-source projects, sometimes also plugins, inside of Roblox.
My current goal is to just have fun while making those open-source projects and plugins.

I found this platform in 2010, (that was 10 years ago, jeez) and I don’t remember how I got into ROBLOX, but I did. Currently, I want to be an amateur game developer for my future, and potentially be hired into ROBLOX’s staff team. My current goal is to be a scripter eventually.

Hello. I’ve just noticed this topic, so I’m just gonna tell you a little bit about myself and answer the quoted questions above.
I don’t really remember how I found Roblox, like really, I don’t. It might’ve been an ad, most likely.
Anyways, I’m a builder and I started developing with a past friend of mine, who I barely talk with, due to his full time job at the U.S Military, but we started to build a map for Epic Minigames, which inspired me to continue back then. I made then a basic interview center just for fun, and to see how good I am, but I was clearly a beginner.
After that, I wasn’t exactly sure, what to do or what to build, so I joined developer forums, got help, and thought of something I can build. Right now, I’m working on showcases, places to hangout in, stuff like that, which is a good start, before searching a team and making a game with functional scripts, music, GUI’s etc.
As a Developer. I want to achieve a couple of things…
First of all I want to show off my imagination, since everyone should get the chance to show off their dream house, or a place, full of fantasy, a dream.
I want to help others achieve their dreams, help them with projects when I’m ready and able to, and cooperate, make friendship with other fellow developers.
I want developers to come together, imagine and create.
I want to watch the Developer Community grow, look at every showcase of yours and rate as much as possible, give valid and nice feedback.
I’d love to become something more on Roblox, I may not know what yet, but I’d love to help people out on a new level.
We might have the same goals as developers together, but we’re here to search for recruitment, cooperate, imagine and create, so other fellow Robloxians can enjoy each of our places. Each and every year, we see our community grow, and that’s what we’re proud of, we’re inspiring new players to create games with us.

Hi, I’m Daniel! I’m 18 years old from London, England. My ultimate goal is to provide something which makes people happy. Whether it be a game, video content, help, anything! I grew up with a lot of issues in regards to my mental health, and I don’t find much of what I do outside of Roblox to be enjoyable.
All my life i’ve considered myself to be a good mentor to younger people, especially those going through similar issues to what I have been through. I’m attempting to become more fluent in Roblox Lua so I can eventually pass on my knowledge to create a new series of Roblox developers in some way!

Hello, I’m ThatNooblyGuy. I first found out about Roblox back in 2012, but I didn’t make this account until 2013. Over the years I have played around with Studio, but I didn’t get serious about developing until last summer. I’m glad to be apart of the Developer Forums, and hope to learn a lot more.
I found out about roblox because my oldest daughter who is 6 plays it . She asked me one days if i could make her an obby. Just for her. Having no idea on earth how I would fulfill my promise. I said, of course I will! Lol 2 months later, after working and working. I now have a bit of knowledge, and I am getting better every day.
I plan on one day coming up with something worthwhile, but I’ve a long road ahead of me. But it’s a fun road! I love learning more about lua. And everytime something finally makes sense. I think to myself ‘well, that wasn’t as hard as I was making it seem’ lol. I have a small background in visual basics. From way back in the day. I am 35 years old.
Heya, I’m yawnies! Been here since 2009-2010 and always liked building things. I’m not really interested in programming, but who knows what will happen next, right? Maybe 2 years from now I’ll be programming instead of building, teehee.
I’m mainly looking to use Roblox for prototyping ideas and maybe get something out of said prototypes. Nowadays I’m focusing on 3D modeling as my main role, although I can also create average graphic design work if needed.

I don’t remember when I started using the Studio, but it was a long ago…

Howdy fellow people of the Dev Forum, I am Written_Law, I am a builder on some level as I am a bit newer when it comes to building and development on the ROBLOX platform. I have a few personal goals for myself one is to push to create my own map and I want to be better at making it myself rather than looking for it via free models. I got started with ROBLOX development a year or two ago but I have never seen myself the way I have just recently. I am once again very glad to be apart of such a great platform, and now able to voice my opinions on certain topics!
Hi guys, I found ROBLOX through school. At first I thought, I don’t want to waste my time. However I have found this to be a part of me and my happiness.
My friend and I made an roleplay game. It was really just freemodels. However, I would not be coding systems, filling orders, and developing games if I never made my first game.
One thing I have always found hard is how to get myself “out there”. However, I own a small development studio called SBS Studio.
I am a programmer. I also do some minor UI and building.
I only started major development around 1.5 to 2 years ago so I need some help, and I am ready to learn even more!
Hey, I’m SagaciousWizard, and honestly, I have been trying to get onto the forum for several years at this point xD. Was randomly looking around today at different posts and got the notification. Never have been this excited. So before anything else, thank you.
Now, to describe myself, as previously stated, I am SagaciousWizard, and I have been on roblox since my middle school years, roughly 10 years ago. At that point I simply joined through my friend circle. After some time, my friends all left the platform, but I was eager to create something great. After a few years of trying to learn how to script even the simplest of algorithms, I just couldn’t make sense of any of it. However, after quitting roblox out of rage for probably another year I decided to return, but this time with a fire for the will to learn how to code. Within minutes I learned the basics that I couldn’t learn over the years. At this point I knew I had to be a game developer.
My main goal on this platform is to eventually make a game which I can enjoy with whoever plays it. Hopefully on a large scale, and also revenue would be nice, but to some degree I develop to make the perfect game for myself that others can enjoy simply as a side effect. (Hopefully that doesnt come off as to selfish… not my intent)
In terms of roles, I labeled my self as primarily a programmer; however, over the years I’ve dived into GFX/UI Design, Programming, Modeling, and even making Soundtracks. In fact, my passion for and abilities in music may be higher than my programming abilities, I just don’t like the thought of that xD.
Well, In the end, as previously stated, Its a pleasure to be here, and I hope there is a lot I can learn from you all, and if the time comes, someone I could help or even teach through this platform.
Hello everyone! I’m ForwardUntoSean and I am proud to introduce myself to the dev community!
First thing is first, I found Roblox back in 2010 via an advertisement as I loved to play flash games so I decided to give Roblox a try. I enjoyed it a lot so I stuck around.
I got started with development as I work with an Empire based group and I assist with its scripts and implementing scripts.
My goal here on the platform is to become an expert in scripting as I do enjoy scripts and one day be successful. But as of right now, I am still learning how scripts work during my free time and I play around with scripts so I can become accustomed to them.
My role as of right now is a scripter in training as I am still learning. If anyone wants to help aid me progress further, I welcome any and all help I can get.
I will also add that as of the time writing this, I am 20 years of age. I regret not getting involved within the community but I will make up for lost time and one day hoping to make my goals a reality!
Edit: I failed to mention that I have been and will be using the dev forum a lot and whatever resources that Roblox has to offer. I use countless resources from multiple sites but since there are malicious sites out there, I remain vigilant.
Just opened the forum and I see myself promoted to a new member, I’m really glad that I am promoted, I can’t wait to help other developers and introduce myself to the community.
