Hello.
My username is rvm_showbiz, though i prefer to go by just Showbiz. Thank you for accepting me into your forums, it’s an honor. I’ve been playing ROBLOX on & off since 2013, and I’ve been passionate about this game ever since. I’ve sunk easily 2000-3000 hours onto this game.

I began dipping my toe into the water of development in 2018, and I’ve been trying to make successful games & groups ever since. I have hope for myself that my ambition & passion will carry me far. I’m real grateful for all the insight that this forum might be able to bring me as an aspiring developer, and I can’t wait to be able to fully utilize this forum.

Hello there! My name is AIexSin!

My friend introduced me to Roblox it was back in 2015 at the Computer Lab.

I saw a lot of people developing, I was like oh so you can make games here and its something that I would enjoy doing while I am free, so I started by learning how to build, then I learnt how to use Lua and here I am.

My goal is to grow as a Developer currently, I just achieved something which is I became a Member of the DevForum, that is cool.

I am Scripter/Programmer.

Hi, I’m KeyzCYQ, I’m a Roblox Programmer, thank you for accepting me in this Forum.
I discovered Roblox in 2010 and grew up with it. I discovered Roblox Development in 2014 and started to write simple codes, I liked it a lot and that’s how I decided to start to study IT, and figured out that programming is my best affinity.
Later, I took a break from Roblox as a player, and now, I’m very interested in Roblox Development. I want to create an own Studio, so I can make my game ideas come true.

What a way to start off my DevForum account, than with an introduction post

Hey there! I’m Factor and I’m an aspiring Roblox developer. I’ve tried scripting in Roblox many times in the past and only now am getting serious with it, how cute… We’ll see how that goes! So far been having loads of fun with it. What are my roles? Well to be fair I have made quite a few skills over the years, from GFX to music production and even drawing, I sure can do quite a few things here, but I definitely wanna focus on scripting.

That’s a bit from me, Happy coding!

I know there’s like a format but seems like no one actually followed it, so I just like went with it OOPSIE

Hi there! My name is Matthew and I’m a teenager from Canada. I joined Roblox in 2015 when a friend introduced it to me and I began developing a few months later, playing around with free models from the Toolbox and what not. I run a virtual airline on this platform called Air Norway and am currently experimenting with detailing using lighting and terrain. I mainly view myself as a builder – I’m definitely no programmer but I can “bodge” something together. I’m also not bad at graphical design through software such as Photoshop and paint.net.

It’s awesome to finally be a member of the DevForum, can’t wait to contribute to some positive and constructive discussions here!

Cheers,
Matthew

Hi, I’m Yoshi
I found ROBLOX in 2010 and have been playing games on ROBLOX almost every day since then.
I got started with development at around 2012 where I would make free-modeled forts for my army group. Slowly I’d start to edit these free models to fit my needs, and eventually I would just build things from scratch.
I got into Graphic Design in 2016 when I took a digital art class in High School. It taught me how to use Photoshop, and I eventually learned how to use Blender’s modeling and rendering tools on my own.
Since then, I’ve been mainly building and making art on ROBLOX, and recently I’ve even been learning some lua programming (although it’s pretty embarrassingly bad, haha!)
Below you can see an example of one of my projects I made for an army group’s Royal Guard division.

I’m so glad to be here! Here is a little bit about myself:

I found Roblox, because some friends recommended it to me in 2018, and I really enjoy it! I am a young developer, and I am so happy to be able to meet others who love to make games and art on Roblox!

How I started online, beginning with my YouTube channel:

I started by making YouTube videos in June 2020, because I was really bored, and it took a few months for my channel to start growing, and I posted quite a few videos during the summer. I took a 2 month break from Youtube because I was feeling discouraged, and school started, which took up a lot of my free time.

Fast forward to late October, I was feeling pretty aimless at that point, and I was searching for a long time, for people with common interests as me. I was browsing through my YouTube recommendations and I happened to come across the CaSeismograph community, and I have made so many good friends there who encouraged me to pursue my passion in seismology! I felt excited that I finally came across a community who enjoys seismology as much as I do! It even got to the point that I got my own seismograph around a month later! You might be asking something like “What does this have to do with being a Roblox YouTuber and developer?” Just bare with me, you’ll see soon enough. Go back around a week before I got my seismograph, I was sitting in front of my computer, bored, so I decided to watch the Lil Nas X event. I was waiting in the lobby, and asked if anyone wanted a screenshot to post on my YT before the event started, just to add some excitement while I was eating my pizza. To my surprise, many people in the server immediately said yes, and asked for my YouTube channel, which I gladly told them. They all subscribed right then and there, and joined my Discord server. That was the most subscribers I’ve gotten in one day (I was at 18 before this). That gave me a huge amount of motivation, and I posted a video the next day, which was my first upload since early August.

Fast forward about 2 weeks, and I was probably the happiest I’ve been for the past few months (seismograph, bday, motivation, new friends, and even a surprise vacation!) I was sure nothing would go wrong, but sadly, a sudden tragic event happened, and I learned about it as soon as I went on vacation. This threw me into an even worse mental state I was in before, and I lost motivation to keep working on my YouTube channel again.

Go ahead to January 2021, I was feeling really hopeless and sad, but my channel finally hit 50 subscribers! I decided that if I don’t find motivation now, I was gonna be stuck doing nothing for a while. So I forced myself to find motivation, and continue working on my channel. When I returned from a very long vacation, I was finally able to turn on my seismograph, and the owner of CaSeismograph agreed to run my live seismogram feed on his channel! This was my first collab, and I felt very excited about it!

I started doing GFX as a hobby (when I wasn’t doing huge amounts of homework), and from there, I started doing 3D modeling. I have been using multiple earthquake recordings in my art, which I feel is my own unique touch to my art. That has heavily influenced my taste when creating designs, and that has led me to the style of art I make today. Recently, I have made Roblox clothing to represent my YT channel, and my taste.

So far, my YouTube channel is running smoothly (I’m at 81 subs as of Apr 4, 2021) and I am investing more time in modeling. I am making UGC concepts, because I really hope to be accepted into the UGC program, so I can share my art with everyone to wear. I just got back from Spring Break, which was really fun, and I am mainly focusing on modeling with my free time.

In the foreseeable future, I plan on getting into the UGC program as soon as I can, and start doing UGC and GFX commissions when school is keeping me less busy. I also plan on rolling out real life merchandise, and livestreaming on my channel soon.

I would like to thank my family, my friends, my fans, and the CaSeismograph community for being with me in this journey, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

TL,DR: This past year has been an adventure, with many ups and downs, and there were many wonderful people who influenced what I do online. I am a modeler, YouTuber, seismograph host, and GFX artist. Don’t give up, even when things seem to be hopeless. If you believe in yourself, you can accomplish anything!

YT channel: ProtonPowerGaming
Seismograph code: AM.R48E7
Commissions: Not yet

Anyways, that’s my story of recent events, and what I plan on doing in the future. Congrats if you made it this far in my rant, it’s 1am on Easter Sunday, and I can’t fall asleep. Thank you for reading this, and I hope you have a wonderful day! (Or night)
