Is my GFX Bad or i'm lost in life?

My situation

At the moment of writing this I’d fallen in a horible depression, I feel like my designs are terrible and like they dont matter to me, I feel like my designs are worst than others, that I cant no more with this job/hobbie, even if I have very good feedback I feel like I’m not enjoying this, Also I’m to young to suffer like this, when I see other people GFX I say I cant do it I dont know why this happen, but this post will decide it. Now I will show you all my works so far

I love them, however, I would not use real pictures, unless the game is realistic as it can be. Great work though!

To be honest I feel as if you’re not crazy good. But that’s fine I don’t think you should give up, I think you should use the DevForum, YT, and other sources to improve your skills. Best of luck, from John.

The GFX is great, honestly, continue this career! I personally think it could make you a lot of real USD in the future if you keep going at it!

The only issue I see here is the fact that you’re doubting yourself  Keep going! You’re doing great B) The more you practice the better you’ll get. B))))))

They’re good, the only reason you see your own renders as mediocre is because they look like stickers pasted to a 2D background.

People tend to avoid using 2D backgrounds since they can reduce the quality in their work.

I personally find the “We Are Watching” thumbnail as a great example as where you should go from here.

It’s also worth noting that some R15 is present in your work, most GFX artists find it hard to work with since they’re used to R6 or 3.0.

The fact that you managed to use it indefinably makes your work unique.

The 2D logos you made dont need any improvement, i cant even make 2D artwork. ( Well, anything good. )

I suggest using GIMP to help you edit your content, it’s free and it’ll definitely help.

I literality knew nothing about GFX in November, now i’m able to.

If you practice more with your current level in skill, you should be able to make thumbnails on the same quality as mine in a month or less.

Your work is great! I think the logos are probably the best and you could make a good amount of Robux off of them! All that is holding you back is your doubts. Remember, everyone started somewhere, and I make logos, when I started, mine weren’t half as good as yours! Just keep trying and grinding and you will succeed! Keep up the good work! :hidere: so definitely continue lol you are on the right path

edit: if your young then this work is really good!!!

Looks really good, and I definitely don’t think you should abandon doing what you like doing, never just give up on something. It will just discourage later on in life, other than that. I like your GFX, it has a very nice tone to it and will do just fine in the community.

Although they definitely aren’t the best GFX pieces out there, they’re relatively decent compared to a vast majority of the starting GFX you can find here on the devforums.

Experience comes with time, so as long as you keep practicing you’ll eventually be there. Just make sure you never stop.

Dude, this is some of the best UI that I’ve seen so far.

Whenever I have doubts on my art, I take a mini break from art and then I go on a spree of looking at art tutorials and timelapses. I have some art youtubers that I look at for guidance, perhaps you can find youtubers specialized in Graphic Design to help you along your journey?

Tl;dr, take a break from art and look at GFX tutorials, not Roblox GFX tutorials but professional ones from professional Graphic Designers outside of Roblox. Come back to art when you feel like you’re ready to put what you learned into practice.

Your GFX is good! Don’t be too harsh on yourself, as long as you’re practicing, you’re improving! Most importantly, though, if this is draining your energy and damaging your mental health, I suggest you step back and take a small break. Balancing between work and mental health can be difficult sometimes, but it’s crucial if you want to perform well on the long run. Good luck!

I am not going to sugar coat anything here. This is not the best GFX or anything. It still need a lot of work. But, I voted continue GFX. Why? Because every GFX artist starts right where you are now. Welcome to being an artist, where you always question your work. My advice, don’t give up, keep learning to improve, and even when you do improve, don’t compare your self to anyone else. Things are not always as simple as them seem at first glance. Your work is your work, you should appreciate it before anyone else.

You are much farther ahead than many. Remember, with 8 billion people in the world there will always be someone more talented, smarter, richer. That applies to all of us. If you quit based on this fact we wouldn’t have the internet, jets, electricity, skyscrapers, etc, etc.

The only thing stopping you is you. Your creations are better than most people could ever do. You need to realize how amazing your talent is and embrace it. I really mean it when I say that I hope to see more things of yours in the future!

That’s a separate issue from the others. It might be worth taking a break and trying something else like 3d modeling. Broadening your skillset never hurts.

Oh and I want to add on, if you don’t want to do this, don’t. Its okay to feel tired. We are all human, and if you are young, then don’t stress your self. At this stage of your life, art should be fun. The things that can make it not fun is feeling pressured. Honestly, Roblox is a competitive environment. But no one expects you to get up and make a master piece, because no one ever has. Like I mentioned before. You have to choose for your self. But first, think about it. Are you doing this for profit? Are you pressured to be the best? Do you feel like your so far behind? Well I want to say something. I’ve felt this too, and I am sure others have. You know what makes me feel better? Looking at other artists.

I see other artists work, and it looks magnificent. I look at mine, and I used to feel the same way you are now. So how does looking at other people’s “better” work make you feel better? Go look into them more. Often I feel bad at first, then I look at their description and stuff and most of the time they have been doing it for 5-10 years. One could even argue you are doing better then average. Learn at your own pace, and learn for fun. You are young, don’t stress your self out with being perfect. Don’t stress your self out to be successful.
