Latest ROBLOX update made it impossible for my client to load assets (images, styles, mouse icon, ...)

Hello

Since the latest update (version-0c1a10704cb043cc), my viewport seems to not load entirely.

I uninstalled RobloxPlayer, reinstalled it, still nothing worked. I then proceeded to uninstall everything (RobloxPlayer & RobloxStudio), remove %LocalAppData%\Roblox, restart the computer, reinstall ROBLOX, and now I have this as a login page:

I installed ROBLOX Studio, and it looks like it works IN TERMS OF INTERFACE.

I proceeded to uninstall RobloxPlayer again, & try the MS-Store version. It launches & freezes. In the Event Viewer, I have found out that an error was being thrown, Error 0xc0000409.

How come is my ucrtbase.dll dependency faulty? And why does the player seem to not work entirely?

EDIT 1

I did a classic sfc /scannow in an elevated shell, nothing was found.

Launching windows in SAFE MODE with wifi support made it so that the login interface was rendered. SINCE I UNINSTALLED THE SOFTWARE TO TEST MS-STORE VERSION, I completely REINSTALLED the RobloxPlayer in Safe mode with wifi support.

Going back to windows after having done the upper part fixed the UI issue. I do not know what just happened but I am clearly not the only one affected by this. Check the other post where the link to this report was sent.

Expected behavior

I’d expect the game to launch normally

Since the problem was solved on my side, I cannot try this out. Thanks for posting this here as it may definitely help other people while it is getting fixed. I am quite confused as to why this only happens only on certain devices.

Here is bigger thread with potentional fixes and causes.
