I thought I was the only one.
Looks like it’s a problem on Roblox’s end, I suppose so.

It seems to be a problem affecting people with special characters in their Windows user account name. The solution is to uninstall Roblox, download RobloxPlayerInstaller.exe from roblox.com, and then running the installer as administrator from the downloads folder.

Running the installer as administrator causes Roblox to install under Program Files (x86) where the user is not a part of the path. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Roblox instead of C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Roblox)

Maybe Roblox is just celebrating the gray pride parade?

I FOUND THE SOLUTION
To get started, right-click on Roblox, then on the file location. There, find the RobloxLauncher or RobloxLauncher.exe file. Then run it as ADMINISTRATOR, then wait until it loads completely, and try to launch Roblox itself

Well it worked, but as soon joining in any game returns “failed receiving data” error, it also can return error if you try to log in player app.

Nevermind. that error has disappeared but for some reason it eats so much memory to load into a game now, but hey, it atleast works.

this worked for my friend, he does have the special characters in username. So maybe that was the cause. But we fixed it by running the launcher by administrator
