Launching Data Stores Manager on Creator Hub

Really cool to see, I wonder how it’ll be for games with large datastores

The storage limit seems to vary on experience basis. One of my games has been permitted roughly 100GB of storage space, while my game in-development gets 100MB. I think Roblox might be allocating certain amount of storage for each game based on play data (e.g., visits).

Judging by this new banner in the Data Stores page, it would be somewhere in 2026:

Also 13tb is craaaazy :sob:

EDIT: Early 2026 as stated in the new topic

I’ve been putting off learning data stores on Roblox because of the lack of being able to view the raw data store itself which makes it so much more difficult to learn and test, so this is a big win!

No the game is owned under another persons profile but as you just said that is intended behavior.

Would be nice if tables would automatically be collapsed if they exceed a certain amount of keys. My game has quite a table full of tycoon purchases and this makes it kinda hard to navigate the data.

Will user-owned experiences be allocated permission-granting for this system soon?

Roblox is focusing on Groups for many collaboration features now and going forward. I strongly recommend considering Experience ownership transfer if you currently have a user-owned game and you want to benefit optimally from all the collaboration features. Let us know by posting in #feature-requests if you have any problems with this approach that we are not yet aware of.

Two points of concern.

One is that it doesn’t adapt to mobile. Looks like the right side of the table is forcing the stats to shrink.

The second is that “Data Stores Manager” feels like a weird tab to have in the Analytics sidebar. It looks really out of place since it reads like a product name. Ought to be just “Data Stores”.

It looks like that for me too. I see very little of the data I want to view because of the other area

Version history area is crushed to the side and I only want to see value area.

DataStore Editor plugin had a good run. Thanks all that used it!

One small bug I keep running into is that switching between different key versions seems to muddy up the data display window. Like it just slowly turns to gibberish.

Think our game used to use DataStore2 which caused a bunch of unique datastores to be created, but would be nice if you query a specific datastore and get < x results that it does return # of Keys and the size of stores returned

Data Stores Manager is under Configure. We named it Data Stores Manager instead of Data Stores because Data Stores is what the charts are called under the Analytics tab.

Yes we need to fix the mobile view :')
Although not ideal a workaround for now is turning your phone and letting the view be horizontal.

We will work on fixing mobile view, for now a workaround will be turning your phone to horizontal view. Super sorry about the inconvenience

Could I get an example of what you mean? DMs work too.

This is a crazy and interesting feature, will there potentially be a implementation of global ranking systems in the future?

I don’t have access to post in feature request for some reason, but the biggest issue is Piggy has well over 300 animations that would need to be reuploaded and the current third party implementation is very inconvenient in our situation.

Question / Suggestion @ahrielia

Now that everyone has access to this data, have you all considered doing any sort of incentives / credits for using less storage?

I feel like this could be a great way to lower storage costs.
