Launching Data Stores Manager on Creator Hub

Would like to question this suggestion, what rewards would be given out to developers?

Good stuff overall! I have one question, will there be some sort of support for json data? So far anything in json is just a gigantic long string!

Wow, that looks horrible. I will look into fixing it sorry about that.

As much as I would love to transfer my experiences to groups, it simply isn’t feasible due to the fact I would need to reupload hundreds of animations. If your team could just users to whitelist animations for groups they have experience edit access to, it would allow the transition to be done near seamlessly.

Switching between data versions seems to mess up the data display:

Ok that is super weird I will take a look into it and fix.

This is SO helpful! One feature that would be reallyyyy helpful for me is being able to export all the JSON data to a CSV per data store

I am planning on moving data to a new game, and would like to export all of the current data easily

I will no longer need plugins to see data stores. That’s a very good update!!

Ill still be using it since it can expand and collapseâ˜ș

Oh my goodness, this is SUCH a great update! So highly helpful and a massive step in the right direction. Would love to see the ability to modify/delete data stores as well!

Love having access to this finally. Happy to see I’m way under budget too.

I wish that the data could be shown decoded and formatted. This current view is not useful at all, I have to take this into an external tool to read it, but it’s escaped so I have to decode it first which is a real pain.

Don’t worry I am looking into fixing this! Sorry about the inconvenience

One step closer to automated GDPR request handling!
Any outlook on when/ if that might be added?

That data seems to be extremely unnecessary tho, you could just do this:

"[name] Upgrader Tier": 3,
"Cheese Dropper": {
    "Dropper 1": true,
    "Dropper 2": false
--OR
    true, false
}

Hi everyone, we are investigating a bug with the storage limits being capped at 100MB. This is purely a visual bug and will not impact your experience.

Pretty fun to look through I love this update!

This might be a stretch, but it’d be cool if there was some toggle that converted a long string of numbers within the key of a data store (like a user id) and showed us the user with that user ID. Since most developers use (and should use) userids in keys for player data, we could easily see who a person is without putting their userid in the url on the website to find it.

how are buffers displayed in this while looking at the data? does it show up as “buffer (48 bytes)” or something

Great!

I hope these features will be realized:

  • Removing or hiding certain data stores from the Data Stores list.
  • Editing data using the Data Stores Manager.

Has the drawback of the game needing to be private for several hours been solved yet? I feel like that would be a pretty big issue for a game as large as Piggy that generally has anywhere between 5k and 35k CCU depending on the day and time

Edit: also, as epic_tank mentioned, the game has hundreds of animation assets that would need to be moved over
