Layered Clothing Lag Spikes while resizing

Resizing characters with Layered Clothing seems to cause extreme lag spikes on the client. Doing so in Studio is less significant but still somewhat noticeable. I noticed this when someone else in my game resized their character and it completely froze my game for atleast 3 seconds. This is a big problem for my me because I have multiple Clones which will resize with your player.

Expected behavior

Resizing without Layered Clothing has pretty much 0 lag. I don’t expect Layered Clothing to be perfect or 100% lag free but maybe some what better than this? I don’t really understand why in Studio it’s not that bad but once it’s in a live game it is extremely bad.

When did this start happening? How are you scaling the player? If it’s been happening forever, this is a known issue which @LoboTheCzarnian has been working to address. See my reply to a similar report:

If it only started occurring recently (which I doubt) it may be a result of a recent change.

I’ve also been having this! I hinted it in another thread (which is unrelated) Script_CoreScripts/ExperienceChatMain Very Slow - #85 by bewarethepaws

It creates INSANE lag spikes, please fix ASAP.

Personally, this has been happening for 1-2 weeks.

I’m not sure when this started happening. I rarely use Layered Clothing in my game, so this is the first I’ve noticed it.

I am modifying the Humanoid values to resize the character such as BodyWidthScale, BodyHeightScale etc

I use layered clothing a lot in my game and it is a little laggy for some players. I’m not sure if it is because of layered clothing though.
