This is for the beginners. No shading, no wrinkles, just basic clothes.

The following is a tutorial of how to design a basic shirt.

REMEMBER TO:

  • Save the image as a transparent png
  • Have the image be 585x559
  • Have the template on a separate layer from everything else

1. Choose a color, save it. (If you can with the program you use. If you can’t, skip this step for now.)
2. Choose a darker color than the one you chose first. (Do this step first if you are unable to save colors.)

I chose these
3. Make a collar in a shape kind of like this:

4. Create the outline for the sleeves and the end of the shirt. I used the ruler tool.

5. Add a new layer. (It should be UNDERNEATH the outline layer.)

6. On the new layer, use the lighter color you picked, and color inside the outline.

7. (Optional) Add special graphics, words, or pictures onto your shirt.

This is what I added to mine!

And the finishing product:

You can try on the shirt here!
