:rainbow: LGBTQ Staff Information

Congratulations on becoming a Staff Member for LGBTQ! Being able to protect the community, alongside guiding people to find themselves is a big deal, and you’ve earned it! The following sections are directly regarding information about requirements and information on the Roblox platform related to the functionality of groups. You’re expected to be able to comply and abide by the following information at all times.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reply to this message, or start a new one with myself for direct information and resolutions.

Section 1, Staff Requirements

Similarly to that of a genuine occupation, you’ll be required to maintain specific ‘rules’ or requirements. LGBTQ loves presenting growing and developing individuals with the resources and opportunities to make a change; despite our passion, we do expect our staff members to maintain a level of qualifications enlisted below:

  • Active, with clear schedules

  • You cannot have safe-chat on your Roblox account

NOTE: Failure to abide by any of the above requirements, even if it’s just one, will result in your application being declined, or you being removed from LGBTQ’s Staff Team. Additionally, it is up to the Executive Team’s discretion to allow and exempt applicants from specific requirements.

What is the Executive Team? View Section 4 for a list of these members and more information.

Section 2, Group Functionality

As a member of LGBTQ’s Staff Team, your invited and encouraged to engage in a number of ways, some of which are strictly moderational. In addition to chatting and engaging in friendly discussions with community members, the following functionalities are available to staff members:

:loudspeaker: Group Shout

Being granted the ability to edit the group shout, your messages/shouts should not be tagged. If they are, ensure you re-announce to fix said tags. In addition, Staff are granted the ability to change the shout throughout the day, but the shout must be up for at least 4 hours before being changed; each shout can include polls, announcements, and questions of the day.

:wastebasket: Delete Wall Posts

You are now able to delete posts made by users with a rank lower than yours. This means if there are any trollers, spammers, or disrespectful people sending messages, you are now given permission to delete them. We expect that you only delete messages that are either reported or disrespectful.

:gear: Manage Lower-ranked Member Ranks

This feature is enabled for you, to allow you to rank people to their requested/respected role. Upon being granted this ability, you are given permission to rank users to their desired role, but not to Staff roles. Only Chief Executive Officers+ can rank users to a Staff Position.

Recall that the only people ranking users to Major Supporter and Noted Supporter are for Chief Executive Officers and above! If you wish to recommend someone for a rank-up to any of these ranks, be sure to provide appropriate context and reasoning.

:white_check_mark: Accept Join Requests

You will be expected to accept join requests whenever possible, as they are continuously added when a new user wants to join the group. Unless the join request feature is disabled, you will be able to accept and decline requests. In the instance that a request looks like it’s for an account that is suspicious, or has an inappropriate word in the username/bio, you will be authorized to accept their request and immediately rank them under suspended. If the user has previously been suspended and has attempted to rejoin, you will be authorized to decline the request.

:open_file_folder: Audit Logs

You may view audit logs at any time to review changes with group shouts, user’s ranks, etc. Sharing group audit logs with unauthorized users may result in consequences. This includes sharing the audit logs through social media platforms, or when informing a user that they have been suspended/exiled, etc.

Section 4, Activity Requirement Exceptions

It’s our understanding that staff members may possess activities outside of the platform that might interfere with our requirements; and that’s perfectly fine. It is not expected to prioritize Roblox or LGBTQ over necessary projects, tasks, or processes.

Ensuring that staff members don’t endure stress over their activity placement, a grace period of up-to 5 days is typically insured. During this grace period, an executive team member will reach out to you if you’re out of reach for any activity requirement.

Additionally, if you know that you won’t be active for an allotted amount of time, it may be necessary to inform an executive team member of your upcoming absence. There is not a cap on inactivity notices and the amount of time you can present absent for.

Section 5, Executive Team

LGBTQ is a massive community of prideful youth spread across the Roblox platform and the world. Understanding services we provide, it’s important that more than one individual possess enough authority to make and establish responsible decisions.

In order to combat community size, LGBTQ possesses an Executive Team. This selection of staff members includes senior high ranks that are extremely skilled in LGBTQ’s operations on all platforms. Members of the executive team are able to initiate procedures and complete processes normally executed by a Founder. An updated listing of LGBTQ’s Executive Team exists below:
