this is what we needed. is nice
Amazing, This looks awesome Also it will help lots of developers.
Even though I don’t feel comfortable recording my self.
Amazing! But seriously, why
Why is it only slowly rolling out? Does it have to do with laws? It’s super annoying to have to wait longer just because you live in a different country or because they only choose a specific group of people.
I am having this as well, the .mov file was what I was going to test this morning, I won’t bother now, thanks.
Time to update my game’s parkour animations.
What could go wrong.

Definitely needs some playing around with to get it right.
Great feature for saving time though. In theory.
Why so mad? You can obviously see that the results aren’t accurate and is there to make life a bit easier for animating. The only valid thing about your opinion (in my opinion) is this:
Well then, I will now be obligated to hit the griddy with this new feature.
It’s definitely one of the best features that ROBLOX has implemented. Would love to see how creative Developers get with this!
I would hit the griddy and millions of people would purchase it for sure.
I think everyone appears to be having this issue.
oh yeah I didn’t put that much effort into it I basically just found a 720p video of captain lou and then threw it into the generator and recorded the output.
the quality doesn’t seem to effect it too badly as long as it isn’t like 144p but the instant transmissions that lou does definitely do impact it since the rig tries to replace the teleporting with walking
I’m horrible at animating, and that has limited me to using only R6 in my creations. With this feature I can now use the (much more visually appealing) R15 animations in my games. This is a godsend for me, keep up the awesome work!
Edit: I tried this out and it was incredibly smooth. Miles ahead of anything I could’ve done without much practice. However, I encountered two distinct bugs:
-
The rig was leaning forward a considerable amount. This might be because of lighting or some other environmental factor.
-
The animation occasionally jittered. This could potentially be “smoothed out” by hand, as it only occurred a few times in a twelve-second long animation.
Overall a really great feature. I’ve found that having a plain background can drastically improve animation quality and lead to less “jitter”, although the leaning forward issue will most likely be more difficult to fix.
WOW…I made this and it looks really good! (sword animation lol)
In addition to this because, this is a neat idea that would actually solve a lot of custom rig compatibility issues (marker name = rig part name mapping).
It would be cool to take this a step further and mark non-body parts like a tool or a stick or something so that it’s easier to animate an actual tool.
That’s one of the sore spots of this platform that really makes it hard is tool animating. That’s why a bunch of people go to Moon Animation Suite over Roblox’s solution is because it’s that hard and frustrating.
This would literally fix all that and do it really, really well.
Overall though, this is brilliant. Hope someone on the team sees this and takes it seriously.
What plugin were you using to convert them to R6?
As an animator, this genuinely felt like a Praise, and A helping hand,
Bunch of users can use this. Emotes and ect.
Really, by me this is the best update in roblox so far.
Great Job and big props for roblox adding this
This is such an astonishing, cool, and Incredibly helpful tool that has been added! It has litteraly reduced my workload by so 500%. I understand this is beta, but does anyone have any solutions to fix the issue in which the torso is rotated over 180 degrees?
very cool
