after my actiony games sort of failed, I decided to try something… diferent
Burger Match is a match 3 game (Candy Crush-like), which I’m trying to make more interesting by adding burger stacking mechanics as well as some light restaurant management elements (upgrades, ingredient tiers, with more planned for the future).
However, I’m facing a pretty common problem - algorithm isn’t touching it, even after sponsoring up to 25k plays, so the game is not getting players, nobody is giving feedback, so it’s hard to motivate myself and I’m not sure which features to focus on.
That’s why I’d like to ask you to try it out and let me know, what was most confusing, what didn’t work and what felt missing?
I know that the main thing missing… is some kind of end game goal. As well as more things to do during the gameplay (filling special orders, having more special blocks and usable items). And I should add more social features, better sounds, replace the temporary art with new models… etc etc etc.
Keep in mind, that this is a single-player puzzle game, so it’s not for everyone. If you prefer to give feedback to a game with much more action, try out Pipe Dash.
Adding first of the social features - “burgergram” where players will be able to share and view their burgers. It’s not much at the moment - only shows a few latest plates, but I have a lot of ideas on how it could be improved.
Added an early version of order system, which is where randomized friends will want something special on their burgers. Still working on the flow, rewards and more difficult tasks (burger with no specific ingredient, burger with x amount of certain ingredient).
