Message icon on profile even though I have been sent no message

Your forum bug report must have:

  • Descriptive title;

  • Detailed description of bug; The bug is that the green icon is on my profile picture for no reason, when I click on it. It shows no one has sent me a message. The green icon should only be displayed when someone sends you a message or replies to a message that you or they’ve sent.

  • When it started happening; Two days ago

  • Screenshots and videos of the bug;

There’s a workaround mentioned there.

If you have specific repro steps feel free to drop them here, otherwise I’ll assume this is the same issue where a DM you were part of was moderated before you could read the notification. It’s not going to be high priority for us.

So what exactly is the fix for this issue? To get rid of it on my screen atleast?

As mentioned in the thread above, try dismissing all notifications the next time you have one or more new notifications.
