Miniature city devlog #2

been about a month, seems like a good time to make an update. made some pretty good progress (in my opinion)

BIG CHANGES:

ive had to change the city from nighttime to daytime because the lights were just too much. about 70% of the parts were lights, and i realized its just unsustainable to keep this up considering im not very far into this project

added a brand new river south of the downtown.

brand new bay/inlet to the north. planning on having a large bridge similar to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge across (widest point is about 6km here)

IDK WHAT TO LABEL THIS

new downtown has been completed and fully painted.

added “Governor Island”, home to government buildings and services. heavily based off of the Empire State Plaza in New York

first oil refinery has been completed

IN PROGRESS

this big gap, likely be medium density

this area of Governor Island

container port/harbour

this gap??? i dont know what to put here suggestions are welcome

this project is so massive i dont even have a timeframe. feedback is always welcome.

Looks great! I’d add a small park in the gap, but that’s just my preference.
Keep it up!

I really enjoy seeing these updates. The harbor is coming together! So satisfying to see.

This looks absolutely incredible! The fourth image filled me with an existential fear I didn’t know existed. I’m making that my freaking desktop wallpaper.
